Wednesday, 11:20 PM; 10 hours left to pay electric bill;
As Vector was regaining consciousness, he couldn't figure out what happened or where he was, his mind was overwhelmed by fog. He forced his eyes to open as they unblurred. He could only make out a dark room but two darker figures were in front of him.
"Who-who's there?" Vector groaned.
"Vector!" Cried two very familiar Mobians, upon hearing those voices, Vector found the strength to snap back into reality.
There, in the pitch darkness, Vector was able to make out the figures was Charmy and Espio, both tied to chairs. He scrambled up on his feet to free his friends.
"Who this to you two?!" Vector asked as he finished untying Espio and went to Charmy. The poor bee had to been tied for so long, because the second the rope was removed he immediately flew around in a figure eight, much faster than Vector ever saw him.
"We don't know." Replied Espio. "When we woke up, we were already tied like this."
"Well then, do you know where we are?" Asked Vector once more. Espio nodded no.
Suddenly, the room was lit up by a fresh strand of lightbulbs that enlightened the, dark, shadowy room. With the light, it gave the trio a chance to make out where they were, and to their surprised, it wasn't just any room, but rather, a large makeshift fighting ring within a bigger room. Vector realized they were in a basement by discovering a set of stairs leading to an upper room within yards from there. With some tools placed on a nearby desk, and by the smell of some opened empty motor oil cans, it became clear to Team Chaotix they were still here at the abandoned garage.
The fighting ring was of rectangle shape and surrounded by a makeshift metal fence that had to be thirty feet high, a length of 35 feet, and a width of 10. The floor that they were standing on was freshly clean. When absorbing their environment, Charmy pointed out a large trap door in one corner. Even worse, there was a metal roof, so to fly or climb out was out of the question. How did they ended up in this situation? There was only one answer as to why:
"This is a trap," Vector concluded. "We've been tricked!"
A chuckle echoed the basement, and the sounds of footsteps walking down the decaying stairs got the attention of Team Chaotix.
"Who's there?! SHOW YOURSELF!" Vector snarled.
"You're fates are sealed," Said the first Mobian.
"Let's start the rumble," Said the second Mobian.
"You're no matched by..."
Both Mobians appeared out of the darkest, at long last, Team Chaotix can see the very dog nappers for the first time. The Mobians were skunks, although the cream and white skunk didn't have his very distinctive tail. He and the smaller skunk were a menacing duo that Team Chaotix never encountered, and by the looks of them, they're seasoned criminals.
"ROUGH AND TUMBLE!" They shouted.
Vector cringed at their attempt to rhyme, Espio hid his face with a hand, ashamed of their weak poetry skills, and Charmy fell to the ground laughing. These are the criminals that they're gonna be dealing with? How unfortunate for Team Chaotix.
"Hey! You're supposed to fear us!" Exclaimed Rough.
"How can we when you both fail with an introduction like that?" Vector rhetorically said.
"Enough of this." Stated Espio. He walked to the fence and look directly into their capture's eyes.
"It was you two that stole those shelter dogs." But the bigger question still lies to be answered; why?
