I took my place in the computer room and waited for Eliza to come in. There weren’t that many people in the lesson, but to be fair, I was early. Five minutes to be precise. Who could blame me though? Eliza Frayn wanted to sit next to me in Media Studies! I was just so much closer to them than I have ever been in my life. I was becoming friends with their cousin for God’s sake. It was insane.

A while later she entered the room. All cheery and smiley, how did she do that? She must have such a happy life. She flopped into the seat next to me,

‘Hey!’

‘Hi!’

‘So, I was wondering what you thought about the school so far.’

This took me by surprise so I said, ‘Yeah, its great’, and smiled.

‘I mean, are people treating you nicely?’

Earlier I had an Art lesson and a Spanish lesson, and everybody there was very kind, I sat next to the same guy in both classes and he introduced himself to me as Andrew. He was quite shy and reserved but when we got to know each other a bit more, he was a lot more open to me.

‘Yeah. Don’t worry, everything’s fine.’ I said.

‘I’m sorry I don’t mean to be annoying, it’s just that I like taking care of people,’ she said, and turned her head the other way.

‘Oh no Eliza, sorry I didn’t mean to be rude,’

‘Nah, don’t worry its okay,’ she smiled at me, then the teacher came in and the lesson commenced.

My Media Studies task was to create an advert for some washing up liquid. Not only that, but I had find another person who wanted to pair up with me.

That person just happened to be Eliza.

So basically because I didn’t really have that much filming equipment and Eliza had loads, she invited me to her house for a sleepover on the weekend, so that we could film everything in two days rather than during the school week.

It was Saturday morning and I had just got back from my AS Italian lesson and I was preparing all of my stuff and getting ready to leave when my phone rang. I looked at the screen and saw that it was Eliza.

I picked up, ‘Hey Eliza.’

‘Hi Amy. Listen, we can’t stay at my house unless you want to hang around a group of old people, in other words, my grandparents are home and I don’t want you to be the centre of attention,’ she rambled.

‘Oh, alright. So where are we going to go then?’

‘I dunno, I was kind of thinking that my cousin’s house would be a good idea. They have really good filming gear and they can help us editing. I already called one of them and he said it was fine for us to go, what do you think?’

I felt like I was about to faint.

‘Um yeah that’s great then,’ I mumbled.

‘Okay! I’ll catch you later then! Bye!’ she hung up.

My inner self screamed with joy. My smile beamed back at me from the mirror. My eyes gleamed with happiness. This was my dream come true. Did Eliza know that I knew who they were? Is that why she invited me to meet them? Well I would never know unless I asked her…which I would never do since it might make her change her mind.

The rest of the three hours before I was to leave I spent planning out ideas for filming and creating two sketched out playwright for the advert since Eliza and I had discussed it during the week. We had a faint idea of what we were doing, but I guess her cousins could help out with their awesome film-making talents.

Then I got all my stuff ready, and left the house. Eliza sent me the address by text so I planned out the route on my phone and set off for Chiswick.
