Chapter 9

Mel’s P.O.V 

Oh my lord.

How was I ever going to get over the fact that I was talking to this heavenly being for the past hour and a half? He only seemed interested in speaking to me and finding out about me. I basically told him my life story and I had only just got to know him!

‘Do you want to go get a drink?’ Finn asked.

‘Sure, they’re in the kitchen.’

             I led him into the room where I saw Amy and what must have been Jack Harries. His arm was around her back and they were talking and laughing. I felt a hint of jealousy; I really want a relationship with a guy. I’ve been single for two months and counting and I missed having an arm around my waist…

‘You ok?’

            I turned to find Finn right beside me, in fact, extremely close to me. If I stood on my tiptoes then I could kiss his chin. I was tempted but then it would have been weird, so I decided against it.

‘Yeah! All good.’ I smiled at him and he smiled back. That smile was just too perfect. How could anyone’s smile be perfect?

He looked over at Jack and Amy. ‘Shall we go talk to them? I want you to meet my brother.’

‘Okay, sure!’ I replied.

We made our way over to them and they turned their attention to us. Amy met my eyes and her lips spread into the widest smile I had ever seen. She seemed over the moon with happiness.

‘Hey!’ She said to us.

‘Hi,’ I smiled. God it was so weird having the twins right next to each other.

‘Hi, name’s Jack.’ Jack introduced himself and held his hand out for me to shake.

‘Mel,’ I replied as I shook his hand. He had a firm grip. I couldn’t help but think how Amy could have fun with that…Stop it.

‘Hi Amy, I haven’t had a chance to talk to you tonight,’ Finn said.

‘It’s alright,’ she replied.

‘Have you opened any presents yet?’

‘Yeah I opened a few…I should open yours! I’ll be back in a sec!’ She exclaimed.

            Amy rushed off God knows where to get their present and left me to handle these two sex gods by myself. Awesome.

            We talked a bit and she soon came back with this neatly wrapped green package. I knew Amy well, and by the look of her face she was very excited to open it. She placed it on the table and looked at Jack.

‘Go ahead,’ he said whilst smiling.

            She began to open the wrapping. When she opened the box inside her eyes open wide in amazement.

‘What is it?’ I said impatiently. I was dying to see this gift!

            She lifted out a beautiful silver sequin dress. It reflected all the lights in the room and I saw it shine what seemed like little stars of Finn’s face. It was amazing.

‘Jack, Finn, this is amazing! I love it!’ She said this as she hugged them both and then kissed Jack on the lips. ‘I have to go put it on!’

            And she disappeared yet again…

Amy’s P.O.V

            I rushed upstairs and quickly changed into my new dress. As I did so, I noticed the label…It was Dolce & Gabbana! God I had to return this, it was too much. It was amazing though; the fabric shaped my hips perfectly and was the right size. When I felt ready, I walked back downstairs. Everyone was looking at me, some guys wolf-whistled. It was a really attention seeking garment but I think I liked that aspect of it.

            When I walked back into the kitchen, everyone’s eyes turned toward me. I was really self conscious but I walked confidently through the gazes. As I made my way towards them I noticed Jack’s eyes travelling across my body sending a shiver down my spine. Mel turned towards me and smiled then put her hands together and brought them to her chin. Finn just looked at me a little awkwardly.

            There were a few moments of silence which I found very awkward as all six eyes were staring at me. Then Mel almost squealed, ‘AMY YOU LOOK AMAZING!’ Jack and Finn both nodded with agreement and I became more confident and relaxed. Jack, Finn, Mel and I kept on talking for a while and soon people were starting to leave since it was getting late. Then the party drew to a close and a said my goodbyes to all of my friends.

            At midnight, only Jack, Finn, Mel and Max were left. Max was still sleeping so I just left him alone and called his parents to let them know he’d be staying over. When that was settled, I went back to the kitchen where the others where chatting. It seemed Finn and Mel were getting along really well and I couldn’t help but wonder what Mel thought of the guy…

‘Finn, mate, I think we’d better get going,’ Jack said.

‘Yeah alright,’ Finn replied.

            Jack came up to me and gave me a hug. When he pulled away he kissed me again on the lips sending a wonderful sensation through my body. What was wrong with me?

‘I’ll call you tomorrow so we can arrange what to do, ok?’ He said.

‘Yeah sure,’ I smiled.

Then Finn came up to us and said, ‘Thanks for inviting us Amy, it was an amazing party.’

‘It’s alright, and thanks.’ I was really sleepy.

            I hugged him and led them to the door where we waved. Mel and I watched them leave in their red mini cooper and then headed back inside.
