***Amy's P.O.V***
I could see Jack's uneasiness when my mum came prancing into the room, without a care in the world and just about shouting out, 'And who might this lovely young man be?' Seriously, I needed to teach the woman not to be awkward. So, in utter cheesiness, I introduced Jack to my mum. 'Err...Mum, this is Jack. Jack, this is my mum.'
I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks. Jack went towards my mum and shook her hand firmly. 'Hello Mrs Stevens.' he said politely.
'Call me Ruby.' Mum replied. What?! She never fucking says that to anybody! Gosh, she is so screwed. I felt my fists clench tightly as I give my mum a death stare. The last thing I needed was my mum to act weirdly with my boyfriend.
Jack nodded at her and looked back at me. Clearly he was scared off by my weird and annoying mum. I decided that this was the right moment to announce the big thing to my mum since her strange character was really pissing me off.
'Mum, I just thought you should know that Jack is my boyfriend.' I blurted out. Mum snapped her head towards me.
'Well I knew that, you should have seen the looks on your faces when I came in, nothing ever escapes my eyes and you know that, Amy.' As soon as she finished speaking she went out of the kitchen, leaving Jack and I to brew in the confusion she had formed.
***Jack's P.O.V***
When Amy's mum had left (or rather Ruby as she wants to be called) I could see the embarrassment spread all across Amy's face. God she looked so vulnerable when she changed colour like that, it just made me want to reach out to her and bring her towards me.
'Sorry about that, my mum is really weird...' She blushed.
'Naah it's ok, she isn't that bad.' I smiled at her, trying to ease off her awkwardness.
'She just embarrasses me a lot...' Amy looked down at her feet, turned around and started mixing the cake again. I couldn't take it any more, she just looked so amazing and so irresistible. I stepped closer to her from behind. She didn't realise until the last minute and she gasped as my hands touched her hips and as I snaked them around her waist.
She suddenly turned around and looked at me with her hazel eyes.
'Stop surprising me will you? Unless you want to be wacked with the mighty spoon.' As she spoke she pulled a mischevious grin and waved the mixing spoon at my face.
I laughed, 'You're so cute when you threaten me.'
'Oh so I'm cute now?'
'Very.' I replied.
I noticed her quickly moisten her lips and I soon ached for the feeling of her lips on mine. I leaned in and pecked her on the lips. She pulled me in closer and this time the kiss was full of hunger, passion and desire. We kissed for a long time and the thoughts that kept on going through my head were how amazing Amy was, that I thought she was so perfect and that I dont think the cake will ever be finished in time.
When we pulled away to catch our breaths, we stared at each others eyes, never breaking our gaze. Instantly I confirmed one thing.
I am the luckiest man in the world.
