Jack’s P.O.V

‘Hurry Finn we’re late!’ I shouted at him, begging him to drive faster.

‘Chill dude I’m driving as fast as I can, its only five minutes,’ he replied.

I sat back and tried to calm myself. I really liked this girl though. She was absolutely gorgeous and she made me feel…alive. I only hoped that she liked me back. Although Finn was right, she was now eighteen and I’m nearly twenty and she still went to school. But I wasn’t going to let that stop me. Her personality, her style, everything she did made me happy. Cheesy I know, but true.

Finally, we arrived at her house and got ourselves ready. Finn wasn’t that keen on coming because he didn’t want people to crowd around him but I forced him to. Because I’m a good brother.

I swiftly walked up the steps and rang the door bell. All of a sudden the door swung open and I found Amy standing in front of me, dressed beautifully in a tight white dress with blue swirly patterns on and some black ‘creepers’. Her wonderful hair was clipped to the side again and fell on one shoulder. An amazing mix of sexy and badass. She was simply irresistible. I knew Finn was behind me and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was gaping at her.

‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!’ We shouted in unison and I presented her with a box wrapped in green wrapping paper as she told me that was her favorite colour. She looked at us and flashed her amazing smile.

‘Thank you guys! What could this be? I’m so glad you made it!’ She held the door open for us and we went through. Not surprisingly there were many people there dancing to music and most of them stopped to stare at us. A little awkward but I could handle it. Finn however was shier than me and I knew he’d be quite reserved so I planned to keep him involved. Amy came to my side,

‘Hey Jack! How’s your week been?’

I looked into her hazel eyes, ‘It was a little boring at times but now I’m with you, I think it will be great!’

I noticed her blush a little. She was adorable! All of a sudden two girls came up to me, all nervous and fidgety. Both stunning, but not as wonderful as Amy.

The one with dark brown hair said, ‘Hi! I’m Sabrine and this is Cara. We love your videos!’

I saw Amy cringe a little and I chuckled, ‘Thanks, that means a lot,’ I smiled.

Sabrine giggled and said, ‘I saw you about a year ago on a train, I wanted to talk to you but you skated away on your penny board. Then another time I was at the bus stop at Chiswick high road and Finn brushed past me. I chased after him but he skated away as well. It was so unfair.’

She was talking really fast and was obviously really hyper. I was half expecting her to faint, but thankfully, she didn’t.

‘That must have been annoying! But we are both here in the same place for you to talk to now.’ I smiled again.

Then Cara said, ‘Thanks for talking to us and not running away, were not gonna bother you anymore.’ She spoke really calmly, in a soft voice that almost had a tune to it.

‘I don’t mind at all! If you have any questions or anything just ask me or Finn.’ I replied.

The two girls thanked me and headed off towards Finn who was chatting to a girl. I was glad he had someone to talk to.

I turned back to Amy, who was talking to a boy about her age who looked really pale and feverish.

‘Max, if you don’t feel well then you can go upstairs and rest in my bedroom.’

‘Yeah, I think that would be a good idea. Thanks.’

They both went upstairs and Amy motioned me to follow her. I went up the stairs and walked down the corridor to what I guessed was Amy’s bedroom.

Wow. This girl is unpredictable. In her room she had a huge poster of Wolverine covering almost a third of one wall and then another wall was covered in sketches and paintings that she had done. They were all really good.

I looked at Amy and noticed she was helping the guy lie down on her bed.

‘Can I get you anything mate?’ I asked him, trying to be helpful.

‘Yeah, a glass of water would be great,’ the boy said.

‘Jack, that would be so helpful. Just go into the first cupboard to the left in the kitchen for a cup.’

When I got the water, I walked back up and handed it over to Max. He was already half asleep so Amy helped him drink some. She set the cup on the bedside table and headed over to me.

‘Your sketches are lovely,’ I said.

‘Thanks. They are all ones that I’ve done since year 10.’ She replied.

‘I think my favorite is this one.’ I pointed at a biro sketch of a tree with a splash of orange and yellow water colour to creating the sunset. It almost looked like a photograph.

‘Thank you. I did that a few months ago in the summer.’

I looked at her face and was trapped in a strange moment. Our arms were almost touching and I felt this faint pull, making me want to leant towards her and touch her skin.

‘Shall we go back down stairs?’

I snapped out of my thoughts.

‘Max is asleep so we can go and join everyone else.’ Amy said while tucking her hair behind her ear. I found myself wishing that I did that for her. How weird was that?

‘Yeah sure, let’s go.’ We walked back down the corridor and went downstairs. I saw that Finn was still talking to the same girl in the corner. They were having a hell of a laugh.

Finn’s P.O.V

The first thing I noticed about Mel was her pure beauty. Her long black hair fell in waves down her back and her dark but vibrant eyes reflected all the lights around her making them seem to have flames in them. We talked about so much in such little time and her crazy laugh was so great that I ended up laughing as well. She came up to me as soon as I got in through the door introducing herself, not questioning me at all about me and Jack’s YouTube videos. This was what I liked. A little bit of normality was all I wanted.

She was slightly confused when a girl came up to me asking for a picture, which I kindly agreed with. Afterwards Mel just said, ‘She probably just wanted a picture because you’re hot.’

She obviously had no idea of who I was. Which was good, I kind of preferred it that way, no awkwardness. When she said that though she made me laugh and I found myself liking her even more. Not only was she saying that she thought I was hot, but she was also being honest and truthful. She told me that she and Amy had been best-friends since year seven and she told me Amy’s most embarrassing moments which I will have to tell Jack later.

Mel had lived in Sweden for the past month as part of an exchange and would be joining Amy and Eliza at Saint Marylebone in a matter of weeks. She could speak Iranian, Swedish and English and had been almost all over the world. Well, to cut the story short, she was fascinating.
