"Another thanks from me to the principal and counselors here at the school for letting me be the Safe Space Clubs coordinator and sponsor" Jae'na said as Minhee and I took our  seats with the counselors and the principal. As my sister started speaking I watched the entire student body.

Some students looked on in shock others with major respect and then there are some whos anger blazed. I could see the jealousy and envy plastered on the faces of Eve and Mirae. I looked to Kiro and I couldn't really gauge his reaction he seemed Jealous that she was my blood sister but at the same time he seemed almost in awe of Jae then again who wouldn't. Josh of course I knew was putting on an act, I had asked him to after all but even I could see the admiration and  his slight fanboy nature showing.

"So why am I here? I'm sure that's what all of you wanna know. Well its because the mission of the Safe Space Club is really important to me. Not just because of the detrimental effect on mental health that even I have struggled with at times but also how quickly bullying can destroy your career. Now let me ask, how many of you guys look forward to being artists?" Jae'na asked and lots of students raised their hands "And Athletes? What about Business owners?" she asks surveying the crowd " Well then there's something all of you need to know. If you are ever in the public spot light and it comes out that you were a bully in any way shape or form, I want you to know that your days in the spot light are numbered." My sisters tone turned serious and her usual easy going demeanor changed, she was being serious and she wanted to be sure everyone grasped the point. I could tell the overall feel of the crowd changed to, they'd never seen Jae like this but I knew if anyone would have an effect on the school it was her.

"That sounds scary right? The way that you could quickly lose everything. Well it supposed too. And I think that way too often people forget that your actions have consequences. I've watched as people around me have nearly had their careers ruined because of bullying rumors true or false. Now if things go well and a rumor starts that you were a bully or were involved in it the rumor will be proved false and you can go about your business, but if its proved true?" Jae'na shook her head "Sometimes an apology isn't enough for the damage that's been done. And that's when your career can fall apart." she sighed and paused for a moment "I've lost a few friends in the industry because of rumors and because of things they've done. So things clearly aren't perfect all the time. But I've mentioned rumors a lot now. Rumors area form of bullying too. And its not just idols and prominent people that can fall victim to rumors. Those that start rumors also have a price to pay. Rumors can have devastating effects on Mental health which is the other thing I wanna talk about for a moment before I hand things off to the next speaker. Mental health can be a very scary thing, and make life very difficult. It could be minor and it could be major." she continued

As i watched my sister I knew she was speaking from experience, not only from helping me but from her own struggles. Things definitely weren't easy for the two of us, not even a little bit.

"I'm not going to preach to the choir though but I do have an important message. You never know what's going on in someone's head. Where they may be or what they are dealing with" Jae'na says as she scanned over the crowd. "No one has the perfect life everyone struggles so be kind to one another and think before you act. I know that things here aren't going to just magically change over night but I hope that the things that I've said will help you to think and inspire change. I would love to be able to say that this school inspired change in the student environment in fostering healthy interactions. And to have health interactions you need to build good friendships and networks and our next speaker is someone who has gotten pretty good at that. Xion its your turn" Jae'na hummed as she passed the microphone to Xion as her came from the office and Jae came and sat with myself and Minhee.

"Thank you Jae'na and thank you to the school staff for letting me speak today as well. I'm a Senior at the local high school Eastridge which I'm sure a lot of you will probably be attending." Xion began "So as Jae mentioned having a network or even just a small group of friends is important. Or having a mentor is something that can also help. I most definitely wasn't a easy child my older brother and sister could attest to that and as such it made it a little hard to make friends when I was such a knuckle head but I did it. I joined the basketball team early on and that's how I made my friends and I learned a lot from them and I'm sure they learned from me. But i also noticed that there were a lot of kids around me who didn't have what I had. They didn't have someone to turn to, they didn't have the network some of us had already developed. And you know what. I really didn't like that, I wanted to give to others what I had gained. So I started a mentor program and from that? I didn't just become a mentor I became a friend to others and I made so many people smile and it made me smile. So when I get the chance I like to go to other schools and just encourage you guys to talk to someone you wouldn't normally. You never know who may become your next friend. Well that's all I had for the whole school but I've got something special for those in Rhena's grade so while the other students file out I ask that you guys stay here please." Xion said as Minhee and I got up to speak again
