The next day of the week already had me on edge, I didn't like the way I had seen Eve and Noah conspiring and it was very quickly going to turn into a series of events that proved to be a mess. Finals were about a month and a half away now and all of our classes except electives have changed to study halls and reviews in class for the upcoming tests. The only reason finals were stressing was because our grades determined if we were allowed to go to certain highschools. They were essentially our Highschool entrance exams so they mattered a lot. If you were a top student you didn't have to stress much since your scores would be high enough already but that didn't mean that we couldn't try either. Today has started off peacefully nothing that wasn't typical a little gossip here and a little gossip there. Hyoga and I hadn't said aloud that we broke up but the tension between us had definitely eased up and we were back to our usual friendly selves within the group each of us still messing with the other in our own way.
"Rhena do you have the notes from this lesson it's the one that I was out for" I looked over at Hyoga to see which one he was talking about "Umm maybe I think I left during that one" I flipped back through my notebook looking for the lesson "I don't know if they are any good but here they are" I passed him my open notebook for him to copy what I have from the lesson which it was almost complete but that was the class I had left to talk with Kiro in so the first part of the lesson was missing.
"Some are better than none, thanks" Hyoga hums as he took my notebook and I went back to studying a different set of notes that I had set off to the side. I was quickly distracted though "Josh is in class?" I thought to myself when I looked up and up for a brief second, he was hardly ever in the first few classes well except gym and it was obvious why he didn't skip that. Do I bother him or leave him alone? Maybe I shouldn't mess with him, don't wanna kick up the dust when everything was finally settling. Deciding to leave what would be usual antics with my friends aside I went back to focusing on my notes toying with the gemstone of my necklace as I went over parts of lessons that I worried about. Hyoga passed my notebook back when he was done with them and I put them away not needing that one for anything else and before I realized it this study hall was over and the next class would be the same case of rinse and repeat. As I left the classroom I bumped into Josh completely on purpose but I didn't say anything I literally did it just to mess with him. I kept my tiny smile to myself as I made my way through the crowds to my next class trying to keep my laughter to myself. I hadn't seen his reaction but I assume he was probably confused. Either way I got to my next class and I sat down at my desk starting the same routine that had been established for the other study halls. Eventually time passed and it came time for gym and I was dying to get out some of this energy. Right now I felt great but I couldn't help this feeling that something was brewing in the background. And after changing out I came face to face with half of that problem, I was going to go sit in the bleachers near Josh since I didn't have any other friends in this class however it seems Noah had other plans.
"You seem to have gotten pretty comfortable, making friends with Josh and all" Noah spoke up pushing himself off the wall near the gym doors and I sighed hearing him speak
"What idiotic thing do you have to say this time Noah?" I questioned not even nothing to look at him as I continued walking to go to the bleachers, he reached out to stop me but I anticipated him trying to stop me like he always tried to and turned around at the last second causing him to trip over his own feet and then struggle to catch himself which made me laugh "Definetly not a smart idea Noah, Seriously I'd be careful. If Josh or Hyoga doesn't get to you first I will"
"Please what can you do? I don't see a reason to be afraid of those two or even you. I always, get what I want" he replied and just the way he said it made my skin crawl.
"I'll let you think that, because what I did to Eve was surely a Fluke right?" I shook my head and went ahead to walk away again. It seems my mentioning eve got under his skin because I was almost to the bleachers when it seems he lost his temper.
