"We need to get to the hospital wing, you're still bleeding Thea! And there is a bloody dagger in your arm!" Desmond demanded as they entered the Defense Tower.
Antheia knew he was right as always and she should be more concerned about the blade tickling at her muscles. But it felt like it hadn't mattered once she had left the alley.
"It can wait," She tried to protest.
It wasn't like she had a good excuse to give to Desmond, but trying to explain the Undercroft and a year's worth of history, all while trailing blood across the marble wasn't ideal. She ignored all of his logical reasoning and questions until the doors of the Undercroft opened in front of her, then pulled her boyfriend inside.
"What is this place?" He asked as they stepped into the large room.
Antheia hadn't expected anyone to be inside, only holding onto the hope that Ominis would sense them with that odd ability of his and come quickly. When she heard another voice she jumped. "Antheia? What in Merlin's name are you doing here?"
When she saw Anne Sallow on the other side of the room, she felt a huge sense of relief knowing she was safe. But the moment her friend saw the dagger in her shoulder, her eyes widened in fear.
"What the hell happened?" Anne cursed, rushing to her side, "Stay still. Desmond, what's going on?"
"Anne, listen-"
"No," She stopped her, "You need to focus on your breathing until your bleeding stops. I don't want you passing out."
Antheia groaned in annoyance as her friend began to dap away at the wound in her shoulder. It wasn't until then that she noticed just how much she had been bleeding. The red sweater had hidden most of the color forming around the wound, but as the fabric was being pulled away she noticed how much of her skin had been stained with her own blood.
Despite not going to the Hospital Wing she felt safe. She already knew that Anne had been great at healing, it hadn't been part of her plan to find her there, but there was part of her that was grateful. Not only would Anne be able to heal her, but she could also tell her what had happened.
If there was anyone who could save her the trip to the hospital wing and all the explanations, it was Anne. But pulling the dagger out wasn't going to be easy.
"Who put the dagger in her shoulder, Esper?" Anne demanded, trying to draw his sanity back to the situation.
"I don't know, some witch!" Desmond tried to explain, but he was beginning to panic at the sight of all the blood, "There were a few of them. But then someone showed up and I'm not sure, but it looked like-"
"For the love of Merlin, who is here now?" Ominis' frustrated voice called out. The loud crack of the iron gate closed behind him. How the boy always managed to be so close to the Undercroft and never inside always confused Antheia.
"It's Antheia and Desmond," Anne called out to him, "And there is a bloody dagger in her shoulder. Drop the tone and come help me!"
The look of fear washed over Ominis before she found herself surrounded by everyone all afraid of touching the hilt of the blade still in her arm. Too many eyes and hands all over her. All of them worried about causing any further damage.
