Achilles Come Down by Gang of Youths

The corridor hadn't been one that Antheia Wytners found herself in often. It was fairly empty for a weekday morning and she had to wake herself up earlier than normal to be there before breakfast was served. The room had smelt pungent of oil paints and the woody scent of freshly constructed canvas when she entered. A girl's voice echoed from the other side of the room where the morning light came in through the large glass windows. Whoever had been speaking had a soft and gentle voice, gentle like the purr of a cat, as if not to disturb the peaceful start of the day.
Why anyone would do anything before breakfast was served was beyond her, but it was the time she was told was best to find her.
Kali had been there as promised with her magenta hair tied up into a high ponytail. Clean brushes stuck into her hair as if there was nowhere else to put them down while she worked. She stood in front of a large canvas, the rough sketch that had been created in her notebook was slowly being transferred onto the developing painting. Figures outlined in the bright yellows and blues of the match. Standing over her shoulder had been the Ravenclaw girl that Antheia had been seeking out, pointing out and working with her to create the scene before them.
Amelia Blackwood floated over Kali like a looming ghost. She had been the other girl at the match that she remembered, the girl with black hair like the feathers of a crow, she had turned her nose to her book rather than wave over to the stranger.
The two girls were discussing something about the painting as Antheia entered the room. She attempted to be quiet so she didn't interrupt, but the floor let out a loud squeak from behind her. Both the girls looked back to see her, putting an end to their conversation.
Amelia didn't say a word. Only stood to stand straighter and seal her lips tightly from speaking.
Thankfully, Kali was more friendly, "Hi Thea," She smiled. There was a smear of paint that had caught her cheek from working. A shade of fern green similar to her eyes dotted one cheek like freckles. "You're just in time. We were just wrapping up here before heading to breakfast."
"Take your time," Antheia said back. Although she didn't really mean it, she was in a rush to get this conversation over with. And as the haunting dark eyes of Amelia Blackwood looked her up and down, she suspected the conversation would not be as simple as the other girls.
"This is Mia and Rose's friend that I was telling you about," Kali explained to her friend. Amelia's posture stayed tense at the mention, but her face at least softened. "I need to go wash this paint off my face, I'll be back in a minute." She announced before taking her leave.
Antheia stood before the girl waiting to see if she would say anything to her at all. If the others had given her some background on her then she might have questions for her first. The only sound between them was silence.
Amelia kept her eyes on her as she began to pack up her belongings. Impatiently shoving an endless amount of books into a shallow enchanted bag. No doubt it would weigh heavily if it hadn't been charmed.
"It's nice to finally meet you," Antheia decided to speak first, "I don't believe we've had the pleasure before, but I've heard a lot of things about you. My name is Antheia, but you can call me Thea if you'd prefer."
Amelia's dark blue eyes flashed up from her bag, like a rageful ocean. "I know who you are."
It was a statement, not a question.
