It's been a week.

When I realized it, my eyes just about popped out of their sockets. The days have been a blur, going so fast I was half convinced somebody had a time acceleration ability.

It's just been a routine of working out at the gym. My muscles were tense at first, but now I feel a little looser than before.

Four days ago, Carter showed and explained to me the basics of how we practice our combat skills. We haven't actually physically done it yet though.

Carter doesn't think I'll actually need to go hand and hand with Reed. He thinks he'll be the main one to fight him if the time comes. Although I might just be a side choice along with the rest of the group, it doesn't hurt to learn these things for the future. Even after we take down Reed, I'd still want to be involved with this place and the people here to take down other criminals beside Reed.

"How long do you think I'll be till we actually get rid of Reed?" I question, looking down at Carter. Right now he's benching two hundred fifty pounds in sweatpants, his hair all messy and all over the place.

He sits up once he's done with his rep, exhaling a breath. "I'm not sure. Possibly a couple months. Possibly a year. It all depends."

I nod, loosing control over my hand as it wipes away the blonde hair that's blocking his eyes. "I didn't realize that it's been a week here."

A smile spreads to his face. "Having fun?"

I can't help but smile back. "I've told you I love the gym."

He stands up and nudges me in the side, making me giggle. He backs away as I try to flick him on the forehead, both of us laughing as I start to speed up, trying to get to him.

"Hey, likable birds!" I hear a familiar voice call out. I turn towards Cash who's standing near the treadmills. "Stop chit chatting!"

I raise an eyebrow at Cash. I immediately run up to him and raise up my fist. He lets out a small scream, raising up his hands in surrender. "I'm sorry, little lady!"

"Cash, sometimes I'm convinced you come here either drunk or high," I laugh, tilting my head to the side.

"What has you convinced I'm not?" He raises and eyebrow, playing with his hair. "When I get drunk, I usually take off all my clothes. And I'm sure everybody here would love to see that."

"I disagree," Aiden says from behind Cash, doing slow sets of shoulder press.

"Haters gonna hate," Cash replies, rolling his eyes.
