“Main bed par sougi”
Urwa spoke, glaring at Shahzaib.

Shahzaib looked at her uninterestedly and responded sarcastically
“Bed par hi sona tum, biwi ho meri, zameen par thode sone dunga tumhe, par agar tumhari marzi hai toh alag baat hai”

Shahzaib gave her a sarcastic smile and sat on bed comfortably checking his phone. Urwa glared at him and spoke
“Main bed pe sougi tum jao dusri jagah jaake so”

Still busy in his phone Shahzaib responded
“Main kyu dusri jagah jau? Tum chali jao tumhe mere saath sone se problem hai mujhe nahi hai”

“Besharmi ki hadd hoti hai”
Urwa spat, glaring at Shahzaib.

Shahzaib looked at her smirking and rasped
“Aapne abhi tak hamari besharmi dekhi hi kaha hai begum

Urwa turned her head, breaking off the eye contact and cleared her throat. Shahzaib turned his focus back into his phone smirking and proposed
“Well mujhe acha nahi lagega ki meri biwi sofa ya zameen par soye. Bed ki dusri taraf so jao aur waise bhi main tumhe kha nahi jaa raha filhal

Urwa glared at him and sat on the sofa opening her own phone and started scrolling through her socials. She already prayed her Isha salah at Shah haveli so she had nothing to do.Soon she got bored and again looked at him, who was busy on his phone and looked at the small sofa where she would not be able to sleep. Tiredness seeped through her.

‘Main thode darti hu isse. Main jake bed pe hi sougi’
Urwa thought and looked at the other side of the bed which was still empty.

She got up from the sofa and went towards the other side of the bed and sat over there and built a pillow wall between both sides.

“Mehal bana rahi ho?”
She heard Shahzaib's questioning.

“Pillows ke mehal wow manna padega”
Shahzaib continued.

After done with her creation Urwa looked at him and stated
“Yeh bed ke beech ki diwal hai, na tum uss side se idhar aaoge na main idhar se woh side aaugi. Understood?”

Shahzaib smirked at her statement and responded
“Sure Sweetheart. Dekhte hai kon kis taraf aata hai hmm?”

Urwa shook her head and turned off the light and left a dim light towards her side and took the blanket and layed on the bed.

“Ayye mujhe kaam karna hai”
Shahzaib exclaimed.

“Andhere mein kar lo kaam aur aankho ko chashma laga lo. Mujhe nind aa rahi hai main sougi aur mujhe light aisi hi chahiye”
Urwa declared.

“Itni jaldi nind bhi aa gayi tumhe?”
Shahzaib questioned.

“Insaan hu machine nahi tumhari tarah jo aapne nikkah ke baad bhi machine jaisa kaam kare. Sona hai toh so jao nahi toh jao kahi aur jake kaam karo”

Shahzaib sighed and kept his phone aside and spoke
“Aaj maine baat maan li iska matlab yeh nahi hamesha manuga”

“Tumhe jo karna hai karo bas mujhe sone do”
Urwa spoke irritated.

Shahzaib nodded his head noticing her tired state and whispered
“Good night”

“Good night”
Urwa mumbled back.

A small smile appeared on Shahzaib's face after hearing her soft response and layed down on his side and indulged into a dreamless slumber.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Urwa woke up with a jerk, her breaths irregular. In an attempt to calm herself down she took deep breaths and closed her eyes trying to bury those wretched memories deep inside herself. She saw Shahzaib lying next to the disfigured pillow wall.
She saw the time it was 5 a.m. in the morning. Waking up from the bed she went towards the washroom freshned up and changed into a deep green kurti which had intricate embroidery around it.
As she heard the Azan she made wudu and wrapped a dupatta around her head and offered her Fajr salah. After she was done she did her daily zikr after salah and lifted her hands for dua
‘Mere maalik mujhe mere aage aane wali zindagi ke liye takat de main gunehgar hu, mere gunaaho ko maaf karo aur mujhe sirat-ul-mustaqeem par chalne wala bana. Ya Allah aap Rahman karne wale badshah ho mere raste ko aasan karo aur mere nikkah ko aasan bana. Mujhe mere shohar se aur shohar ke gharwalo se raazi rehni ki tohfik de. Aapke siwa mera koi hazir nazir nahi hai meri mushkilo ko asan farma. Ameen’
Urwa made her dua. Pleading Allah for a better life. She needs a break from all the drama happening around her, she is tired. She needs a good break.
Sometimes she feels like she just should snuggle into her warm blanket for days, eat her favourite food, watch dramas or read novels for days until she is satisfied but it's not possible is it?
Urwa shook her head and saw Shahzaib still sleeping on the bed without any care. Is he not going to pray fajr? She thought. Sun is going to rise soon. Contemplating on her further move she went towards him cautiously and shook him trying to wake him up but she failed miserably. As he turned towards another side.
Urwa turned towards the door as her eyes fell on a steel glass on the table.She went near the table and took the glass. Well is it a good idea? Urwa thought. Time was tickling, Urwa clutched onto the glass and went towards the door, opening it slowly she threw the glass near the bed making a loud voice while she got out of the room.
She heard loud and angry voice of Shahzaib shouting
“What the heck Urwa?”
A sly smile made a way on her face as she spoke getting near the door so he can hear her, still out of the room
“Kuch nahi bas socha aaj apne shohar ko namaz ke liye utha du”
“Aise?”
“Haa aise”
Responding,Urwa went away from there. It was good Shahzaib's section is away from the rest of family members or else surely it would have been a chaos early morning. In Sikandar haweli everyone has their separate sections, yesterday she noticed this when Hareem came to escort her in his now her room. Hareem was a talkative girl, a bubbly and extrovert. She was extremely beautiful. Maybe that's in their family genes?
Urwa wrapped her dupatta around her head carefully as she went towards the living room. She saw Ayesha Sikandar instructing the workers to do the necessary arrangements for muh dikhai. As she noticed Urwa's presence and indicated her to come with her. Urwa went with her as she headed towards the Kitchen.
Pehli rasoi hai tumhari toh aaj sab ke liye nashta aur kuch meetha banana. Agar kuch chizo ki zarurat pade toh mujhse ya mulazim se puch lo”
Instructing her Ayesha left the kitchen.
Urwa observed the kitchen and started to think about what to make for breakfast.
‘Main toh kuch bhi kha lu apni pasand ka bana ke Inn logo ka kya karu?”
Urwa thought.
As she was thinking she saw Hareem entering the kitchen.
“Hareem”
Urwa called.
Hareem saw her and gave her a smile and asked
“Good morning bhabhi, Kya hua?”
“Ek maddat chahiye thi tumse”
Urwa spoke nervously.
“Bole na kya hua”
“Aaj main nashta banane wali hu aur mujhe pata nahi ki khane main kya pasand hai toh..”
Urwa spoke smiling sheepishly at her.
Hareem laughed at her statement and responded
“Koi nahi main bata deti hu”
Urwa smiled wholeheartedly for the first time after her marriage. She felt as if she found a friend in Hareem. After Hareem told her their preferences and told that they have breakfast at eight a.m.
Which means she has two hours to make breakfast.
Let's begin.
