Seven days.
It's been seven days since she had last seen him or heard his voice.
She craves his presence. She craves for the safety and carefree feeling she feels whenever she is with him. It's not like she is not safe here. She is safe but the comfort and safety she feels with Shahzaib is something different, something sweet, something she craved for all those years.
She believes him.
She really does. He will come for her right? He won't abandon her in the middle isn't it?
He wouldn't.
For the last seven days she had tried to get everything she could against Malik. She needs to handle this matter carefully. Azim Malik is not someone who will leave traces and get himself caught. Even when she and Umar were kidnapped the people who kidnapped them mysteriously disappeared. She had overheard this conversation of her father and grandfather once.
She knows the truth but is there any evidence for the same?
No.
The divorce papers are not something which could testify as proof right?
Knowing the truth and proving the truth is something different. Sometimes you know the truth but you can't prove it. Just like in her case, she knows that she wasn't the one who breached the data but how can she prove it? The other thing is her ring which was found by Shahzaib during the fire incident. The same ring which got lost while she was kidnapped for the second time.
One thing she wasn't able to understand is why would Azim Malik kidnap her if he was going to let her go in the first place? Why would he take such a risk?
During the kidnapping incident only she got to know about Dua Shah or else it seemed impossible for her to know this thing. The thing which she wonders about is how can she just hear Dua Shah's name for a while and then nothing? While at the same time didn't she lose her ring?
Is this all planned? Her getting kidnapped, she overhearing about Dua Shah and her ring getting lost? Her getting framed for a data breach and fire incident? Was this Azim Malik's plan all along?
She had a lot of possibilities running in her mind. She just doesn't know which is right and which isn't.
Jo dushman dikhta hai hamesha woh dushman nahi hota.
Those last words still ringed in her ears.
The other shocking news was that the man who was caught by Zain was found dead the next morning. No proof, nothing. How did he die? Next morning according to Umar the mens found the body cold and still tied up to the chair. How? Just how?
"Urwa?"
A voice snapped her away from her daze, it was Umar."Hmm?"
Urwa hummed in response as she touched the moon pendant of the necklace she was wearing."Aage ka kya socha hai tumne?"
Umar questioned, looking at her."Kuch nahi"
Urwa answered."Bas yeh chahti hu ki yeh sab jaldi se khatam ho jaye, aur main Shahzaib ko dekh saku"
Urwa answered, as she kept playing with the pendent.Umar sighed hearing Urwa's response. He knew his sister, she was not giving up and nor did he want her to give up. Afterall all, this incident has paved a path for her pain. Regardless of whether she was present or not, at last she was the one bearing the end of the stick. He just wants her to be free from all this.
He had noticed Urwa's lingering gaze on the door as she expected someone to come. He had noticed her touching her necklace every time she felt disappointed or confused. He just wants her to be happy, but seeing the situations in front of him he felt nothing but disappointment.
