Chapter 3

Aurora's Pov

I awoke to Kayt heavily snoring beside me. I sighed rubbing my eyes and getting up. I walked to her bathroom and grabbed some Advil and a cup that she kept in here for times like these, and filled it with water, setting it beside her on the table. She must have partied hard last night, because her hair was every where, make up running down her face, and drool coming out of the side of her mouth. She only drooled when she was super tired. 

I shrugged and walked back to the bathroom to have a shower. I got in the steaming hot shower and washed my hair and bathed. Once I was finished I realized I didn't have any clothes. I groaned and wrapped the towel around me.

I stepped out of the bathroom and walked through her room to her drawers. I got out some underwear I kept over here and my bra that laid on the floor. I then walked and put on the pajama's I had previously been wearing. 

Grabbing my phone, I headed downstairs to find a note:

Had to go into work early girls! Feel free to have some people over. I love you guys! See you at 9 tonight. 

I sighed. There goes my ride home to get clothes. I dialed the very familiar number that belonged to my best friend, that apparently kept secrets from me. 

"Hello?" His voice was deep and raspy, and his Irish accent was more prominent.

"Can you come pick me up and take me home? Evelynn had to go to work early." 

"Uh- yeah. I'll be there in a minute." I could hear shuffling in the back ground indicating he was getting up and leaving. 

"Thanks.."

"Aurora, please don't be like this. You're my best friend, and I didn't want to risk you hating me if you-"

"Just let it go, Niall. We will talk about it later. Yeah?" He sighed in defeat and mumbled a 'yeah' before I hung up and went outside to wait on him. He didn't live that far away, so it only took him 5 minutes to get there. 

When he pulled up I stood and walked to the passenger side. I slid into the car and put on my seat belt without saying a word. I hated being like this, I grew up with Niall, but imagine if you found out that your best friend was in a gang, and he had kept it a secret from you. It would completely shock and worry you. 

For all I know, Niall could get severely hurt, or worse, dead, at any moment of any day. I could not lose him. 

"Aurora?" I looked over to him to see him looking at me. 

"hmm?" I hummed looking back at my hands. He grabbed my chin and forced me to look at him. 

"I am still the same person I have always been. I promise you that. Nothing has changed except you know the only secret I've kept from you. Please don't think of me in a different way. I have been in the gang  for 2 years, and I haven't been a different person, have I?" I thought about it. He really didn't act different. I shook my head. 

"I just don't want you getting hurt, Ni."

"I know, but I'm fine, I promise." he reassured me. I nodded and sighed. I looked up and saw we had been parked in my parking lot. 

"Are you going to come in with me?" He nodded and got out of the car. I walked up to the door and got the spare key before opening the door. My parents were both gone due to being surgeons. They worked every day except for Sunday's due to church. 

I walked up to my room and put on some leggings and a Pierce the Veil sweatshirt. I sighed, a bit content with my outfit and brushed out my hair before throwing it up into a messy bun. I then raced downstairs and sat down next to Niall.
