Aurora's Pov

I awoke the next morning in the guest bed of Niall's house with an arm wrapped around my waist. My mind flooded with questions. I don't remember going and laying down with anyone, or anyone coming in.

I slowly rolled over, and relief washed over me. Beside me laid Niall with his mouth hung open and snores falling out of it. I rolled my eyes and threw his arm off of my body. When I did he simply just groaned and rolled to his other side. I giggled lightly and headed into the bathroom after grabbing my toothbrush.

I brushed my teeth quickly and then exited the room. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. My stomach was rumbling already, probably because I didn't eat anything last night, but that's beside the point.

As I entered the kitchen, I saw a shirt less figure standing at the sink, flinching every now and then.

"Louis? What are you doing?" I questioned grabbing a protein bar.

"I'm trying to put some damn peroxide on these stupid fucking wounds." He said turning around with a cloth and an angered look.

"Do you need some help?" I asked stepping closer and taking a bite of the bar. He shook his head, being the stubborn butt he was. "I'm helping you." I said putting the food on the counter and propping up on it. I grabbed his arm and moved him in front of me. I poured some peroxide on the cloth and dabbed it on his face, just like I had done the night before. "You can't try and fix these until they are almost healed, the brain wont allow you, due to the pain. You might as well be punching yourself repeatedly." I said looking in his eyes for a split second.

"If you weren't a girl, I would be punching you repeatedly right about now." He said through gritted teeth.

"I understand, it will get better though."

"Why are you so fucking positive? Do you not see the things that happen in this world? I have made you upset, and angry every time I talk to you." He said backing away a bit.

"Because, there is good in this world still. You just have to look for it." I shrugged.

"Let me guess, you actually believe in love too, right?"

"Yes, yes I do." I nodded.

"Pathetic." He scoffed. He turned on his heal quickly and left the room. I got off the counter to follow after him.

"Why is that pathetic?" I questioned grabbing his shoulder to turn him around.

"Because, Aurora, it doesn't fucking exist." He said with a huff.

"What makes you so sure of that?"

"Because, if it did, then my mom wouldn't have left me, and my dad wouldn't be dead, and neither would Malia." He sighed falling on the couch. Something about him changed in this moment, he looked sad, and broken.

"Who's Malia?" I questioned lightly. I made my way over and sat next to him.

"Don't worry about it."

"I will worry about it."

"Don't."

"Please tell me, Lou." He flinched at my words. I slowly reached over and put my hand on his cheek, slowly making him look at me. He had tears building in his eyes, but he quickly blinked them away. "You can trust me. I promise." I said looking deeply into his eyes.

"Malia w-was my first and last girlfriend. She was so amazing. She was gorgeous, stood strong in her beliefs, and no matter what, she tried to help me away from what I do. She had so much hope in everything, but I took that away from her. Th-they killed her on our 3 year anniversary. They just walked up and shot her while I was inside the beach house. I couldn't fucking do anything and it's all my fault!" he yelled kicking the wall once he stood up.
