Weston's POV:
"Slow down, Wes! I can't understand a word you're saying." Ray declared.
I was in his office, trying to tell him, Grady, and Myla about what happened. Ray was sitting on the edge of his desk, while Myla sat in his chair. Grady stood leaning against the wall.
I took a deep breath and told them not only what happened with Leanna, but, about my feelings. Their eyes were wide. A wide smile formed on Grady's face as he gave a loud whoop of joy.
"Yes! Oh yea! You're in love, Wes!" he cheered.
I stared at him, dumbfounded. He thought I was........in love?!! "What...?" I asked quietly, my eyes wide.
"Weston, you and your wolf are feeling things that mates feel towards one another. Protectiveness, the want and need to comfort her, the sparks....It's all apart of the mate bond bringing you closer together." Ray spoke up.
"B-but....But Leanna isn't my mate!" I exclaimed, my eyes wide in disbelief. I do not understand what is going on here.
"In a way, I think she is. Without realizing it, I think you've grown to really like her. Your wolf certainly seems to like her. Whether you take her as your mate is up to you. But, before you do anything, really think about your feelings, Weston. We can see that you love this girl. We want you to be happy." Myla spoke softly.
"She's human...What will she say if I tell her that a werewolf Beta is in love with her and wants her to be his mate??"
"That, we can't answer, Wes...You'll have to find that out yourself..." Myla replied.
I shook my head, sighing. I turned around to leave, but Grady stopped me. I looked over at him. He had a reassuring smile on his face. "I know this is hard. Not just falling in love, but the fact that she's human and the results are unknown. But it'll be alright...Look at me and Sarah! I'm going to her birthday party next week and we're planning to spend Christmas together! I know Sarah is different from Leanna and she could reject you...-"
"Thanks for making that clear to me, Grady." I remarked, rolling my eyes.
"Wes, what I'm trying to say is, there's still hope. I think she likes you. I don't know if she's feeling the same thing you are towards her, but I see how she looks at you. The way her face lights up when she sees you. I'm proud of you, Weston..."
My eyes went wide a little before I gave him a small smile. "Thank you, Grady..." Grady smiled before hugging me. I hugged him back. Grady's a really good friend...
Leanna's POV:
"Wait, so, you're telling me that you think you might have a crush on Grady's friend, Weston??" Sarah asked me, her eyes wide.
"Yes? I-I don't know, Sarah....I mean, it's all so complicated...I don't really know what to do..." I told her. I was telling Sarah all about what had happened.
My friend smile brightly. "I am so happy for you, Le! Weston is a really cool guy. And, if you want my opinion, I think he kinda might like you too."
"Do you really think so...?" I asked softly.
"Yes, I do." Sarah declared. "Hey! Maybe I could invite him to my birthday party!"
I shook my head, not the least surprised my best friend was going to try and play matchmaker. I was a bit amused by this, but, also a tad nervous for what she had planned.
"I'll call Grady later and see if he can come. This is going to be awesome! Hey! Maybe I can help you pick out an amazing outfit that'll make his jaw drop!" she exclaimed, picking up her phone.
"Sarah, slow down, please. I've only really spoken to him a few times at least. I'd really rather get to know him a little more first." I remarked.
Sarah nodded, placing her phone back on the table. "You're right...You're right...Sorry...I'm just really excited for you. If you need my help, Leanna, you can always come to me...I'll be right here if you need advice."
I smiled and hugged my friend. "Thanks, Sarah." Sarah is such a romantic. She loves romance and playing matchmaker is something she's always wanted to do. But, despite all that, she really is a good friend. I'm glad I have her in my corner.
