Shadowed

The ocean

I turned my car off before I opened the door. I took a big breath in, smelling the ocean. I looked at our yellow summer house as a smile formed on my lips. I walked to the pier, crossing my arms over my chest to keep me warm.

For me, the ocean is a safe place. I love it more than anything. I think it runs in our family since Love and Mila are exactly alike in this thing.

I took my clothes off, revealing my naked body. Even though it's already September I needed to swim. With this thing with Luka...I needed the ocean.

I slowly got in the water, breathing through the coldness. I started to swim slowly as I looked at the Swedish Bay. I swam further from the shore because I always like to see how our summer house looks from the ocean.

I suddenly started to think about last night...Luka. I don't know why I still sleep with him. I lost my virginity to him when we were younger and we had an on and off-relationship for years but then I started to date Nikolai. When Nikolai left, we kind of continued...accidentally.  

I walked into the familiar club, JC greeting me on the bar. "How's our Victoria doing tonight?", he asked. "Great", I smiled at him as he handed me a pornstar martini. "Is Luka here tonight?", I asked quietly. "Nah, he's working on a delivery", JC said, making me nod. 

I couldn't help but to start wonder where Luka was and with who. Was he safe?

Suddenly a man tapped my shoulder, making me turn around. "Hey, I'm Ian", he greeted and offered his hand. I put my hand on his hand, him pecking a kiss on it. "I'm Victoria", I answered and gave him a flirty smile.

"May I take a seat?", he asked, making me give him a nod. He sat on the bar chair next to mine and turned to look at me. "You look gorgeous tonight", he said with a low voice. I tilted my head a little and said, "Thank you".

"Would you like to take a room?", he asked as he put his hand on my upper tigh. Fast. "Whatever you want", I said and looked at him under my brows. He smirked and stood up. I took his hand and led him into a room. I closed the door behind us as he walked around a bit. I gently started to push him backwards until he fell on a couch which was in the middle of the room. 

My hand traced down his body until I started to unbuckle his belt. I went down on my knees in front of him as he pushed his pants down. I licked a long stripe as he took a big breath in. I started to work with my other hand too.

Suddenly someone banged the door, making me stop moving. Soon the banging continued, "Police here, open the door immediately". My eyes widened but I knew what to do since we had been trained for this. I ran to the bookshelf and pushed it easily, a secret room opening before me. I went in and closed the door behind me, leaving the client in the room. Soon I heard the door being opened as the police looked around the room. They took the client with them as I fell on the ground from relief. 

I waited for a long time before I opened the door. I spent the time on my phone, scrolling Pinterest. I also texted an update to JC and Anastasia. I knew that Anastasia wasn't working tonight but I felt like it was important that she knew. JC answered that he was in the other secret room too with other workers. 

After an hour JC texted me to come out. I opened the door carefully before I started to walk back to the bar where I saw JC and the rest of the staff. I hugged JC as he petted my hair gently. "You did a great job", he said, making me give him a smile. 

"They probably have launched an investigation towards us so we have to be extremely careful", he explained to everyone. I nodded along. "Goodnight", he said and patted me on the shoulder. "Goodnight", I said back quietly before I walked to a car which JC had gotten me.
