VIOLETTA POTTER-BLACK

Today is the dance and Pansy helping me get ready. She's also coming her dad is coming as well. She is doing my makeup and Matteo told her not to too much makeup but I don't know if she listened to him.

I know Mom wanted to help me get ready but I couldn't do it so Pansy is helping me get ready. "You look beautiful!" Pansy said putting her stuff down and turning me around in the chair so I looked in the mirror.

I do look pretty.

I stood up walking out of the bathroom so I could show Matteo. "Matty," I called him as he looked up from his book smiling at me. He stood up walking over to me. "You look so beautiful!" He told me as I smiled at him.

"Give me a twirl." He said twirling me around causing me to let out a laugh. I stood in front of him smiling up at him. "You are going to steal the show tonight, you're going to be the prettiest girl there!" He said.

"It's not too much makeup?" I asked him as he shook his head no. "No, it's not." He said. "Come on V we don't want to be late," Pansy said walking out of the bathroom. I hugged Matteo one last time and he hugged me back.

"Be careful tonight." He told me pulling back. I gave him a nod as he kissed my cheek. "Go have fun little love." He said as I smiled at him and walked out with Pansy holding her hand.

We walked down to the great hall and multiple girls were there with their dads as well. "Look theirs your dads," Pansy said pointing over to them and talking to Remus and Sirius.

"Can I go back to the dorm now?" I asked her as she started dragging us towards my dad's. "Pansy-Look how beautiful you look, princess!" Dad said as I looked down.

"Thank you," I mumbled. "I saw your father over by the drinks Pansy," Papa said as I looked at Pansy. "Be back," Pansy told me walking over and leaving me there.

I quickly grabbed my papa's hand needing something to hold. I feel some anxiety right now and maybe being close to Papa will help it.

"This color suits you and brings out your eyes," Papa told me. It was a green dress but a dark green but it was kinda puffy but it was sorta long as well. "How long is this?" I asked him quietly. "Couple hours," Dad answered I guess hearing me.

"Come on," Papa said taking me to the dance floor I quickly hugged him not wanting to be in the middle of the dance floor. "One dance little star," Papa said as I nodded my head.

We started dancing to the music together.

"I still remember the day you were born, it was the best memory I hold onto." He told me as I looked up at him my chin resting on his stomach. "Why?" I asked him. "Because it's the day your mom gave me you. From that day on you were always with me no matter what."

He said as I couldn't help but smile. "I know you didn't want to come." He said. "How?" I told him. "Pansy told me, but I am proud of you still coming even though you weren't comfortable. I'm happy you showed though, but I promise to make sure you're comfortable though." Maybe being here won't be bad.

"I learned how to braid my hair," I told him. "That's amazing." He said. "Yeah, but I love how Pansy does it though." He let out a chuckle. "Matteo is teaching me how to ride a broom but maybe you could show me how to, I know you used to play quidditch maybe you could teach me if you want to," I told him.

"Of course, I can teach you, are you thinking of playing quidditch?" He asked me. "No, but you know it's always nice to know how to play," I told him as he gave me a nod. He twirled me around as I landed in my dad's arms.

"Hi, beautiful." He said as I smiled at him. "Hi, dad," I said as he smiled at me. "You look so beautiful tonight you know that right?" I gave him a nod as I could tell l was blushing.

"I was telling Papa if he could show me how to play quidditch but maybe you could help us?" I told him. "Of course, I'll help him. I can show you all kinds of tricks!" He said excitedly.

"Really?" "Of course, have you ever gone upside down on your broom before?" He asked. "No, I've been scared of heights but I'm sure you and Papa won't let me fall," I told him. "Of course, we won't let you fall, we'll start slow and let you get comfortable with the broom first." He told me twirling me around.

"You think we can get a dog?" I asked him. "Of course but just got to talk to your mom and papa first." He said as I nodded my head. "I've always wanted a dog, but I couldn't keep one back in the orphanage," I told him. "I'm sure we can get a dog princess." He told me.

"Maybe," I mumbled dancing with my dad. I rested my head on his stomach while we danced. My dads aren't that bad I guess.

He twirled me around as I landed in someone's arms. I looked and saw Matteo. "You came!" I said as he smiled at me as we danced. "Thought I was going to miss tonight?" I nodded my head as he kissed my cheek.

"I'm here just for you!" He said as I smiled at him. "You don't have to be," I told him. "I want to be here for you." He said as my smile widened. "You're going to be an amazing father one day Matty," I told him resting my head on his stomach.

We just danced in silence together.

"I'm scared Matty," I admitted to him. "Of what?" He asked. "What if they don't want me anymore and I'll truly be alone," I told him. "They will always want you and you will never be alone because you have me and Pansy and the boys and your parents and aunts and uncles you have a lot of people who love you Violet you just got to let them in." He said.

"I know it's just scary," I told him. "You just gotta take that leap of faith and trust them when they say they love you." He said as I looked up at him. "Like I did with you?" He gave me a nod. "Yeah, like you did with me." He said with a small smile.

"You can do this, you are so strong and I believe in you, Violet." He said as I nodded my head. "I'm thirsty," I told him. "I'll go get you a drink." He said as I nodded my head. "I'm going to go sit down," I told him as he gave me a nod and I walked off.

"What's wrong little one?" Uncle Evan asked. "You don't have daughters why are you here?" I asked him. "Because your dad snuck me in here." He said as I nodded my head. "Why aren't you dancing with your friends?" He asked me pointing at some random girls. "Because they are not my friends. I don't have friends except for Pansy and Matteo."

I told him. "You should make friends with kids your age." He told me as I rolled my eyes. "You should stop coming to parties filled with kids not your age." I told him as he stayed quiet. "Here you go beautiful." Mattheo handed me my drink as I immediately drank it.

"Thank you Matty." I told him as he kissed my cheek. "Your dads are right there, if you want to go join them?" Uncle Evan pointed to them as I looked at Mattheo. "Go." He said as I gave him my cup and walked to my dad's.

"Theirs my little star." Papa said as I held onto his arm staying close to him. "What's wrong?" Papa asked me as lots of people were so close to us. "Just lots of people that's all." I hugged him arm closer. "Don't worry you're safe here with your dad and I." He said as I nodded my head.

"I know papa." I told him as he smiled at me. I stayed near him listening to my dad's conversation. Maybe trying won't be so bad.
