FELIX'S POV:
I caught Beth staring at me from another table. When I looked at her, she smiled and turned away. Butterflies again. Then, the announcements started blaring again.
"Classes 8A, 8F and 8G. Groups from those classes will be...blah, blah, blah and blah," I listened carefully until I heard my name.
"Edison."
"Bethany."
"Felix."
"Lianna."
That was my group. A guy I hated, a girl I felt awkward with and a pure beauty.
The teachers and some camp counselors started handing out cameras to each of the groups. We were expected to meet with our group.
As I met with Beth, Edison and Lianna, we stared at each other awkwardly. Edison held the camera.
"I think I should take the pictures." Edison broke the silence.
"No, I should. I'm great at taking selfies." Beth said. I had no doubt. I had been scrolling through her Anstagram for hours.
"Maybe I could take the pictures." I attempted to grab the camera from Edison, who then shoved me. I shoved him back, and then, he slapped me. My cheek was red and it stung.
"Yo, what's your problem?!" I hissed.
"You can't just snatch the fucking camera!" He spat. Beth and Lianna stared at us in complete shock.
"Fuck you! Trying to get with my ex and then tryna be friends with me. Who do you think you are..?" He shoved me again and I fell on the ground, and he walked away.
