Never really managed to maintain contact.
I'm really sorry my world's spinning so fast.
I barely hear, I can barely see but I feel everything.
You've felt it all right?
That's what you wrote in your song right?
You've felt all types of pain.
You've seen all the black ties, you've heard all the white lies.
It doesn't faze you?
You're a flowing river of fear.
You'd rather let all your intuitions take your gear.
I saw you walk on soil, I walk on soil too.
I feel everything just like you.
I'm in pain just like you.
Grieving just like you.
But I can tell that you might only see yourself and you can't see that I'm just like you.
You still believe in shoe bottoms full of stars it's the reason you feel so deeply, I only believe in shoe bottoms full of mud and pieces of dead grass.... It's the reason I feel so hallow.
But I envy you cause you have one thing I'll never have.
Hope.
Even though you touch ground you still believe that you're touching the sun.
The road will be as clear as your dreams and you'll ask me to see the world the way you do but I won't.
Because I can't see like you.
