How could this possibly not be love?
So patient and kind.
So loving and not daring
So right in the light of God
How could this possibly not be love?
Even when the waves are coming, you still stay still and held on like it's nothing.
When the darkness is coming, you come up like the peep of day you're never bluffing.
You brought light that was never seen coming
Beautiful and painful to the eyes, you should see how perfect you look to eyes of those who digest you but can never dissect you.
How could this possibly not be love!?
Your laugh echoes through the hall
Being with you and I'm always having a ball
Corny for all that want to see us fall
But we always break the mold.
Just say the word and in a heartbeat I'm there, I'm yours.
Send a prayer for his and hers but never could we be like him and her.
Love has been overflowing like a river, thank you for being thirsty enough to drink from here.
Even when filled with impurities and fear, thank you for boiling it and cooling it and staying real right here.
Thank you for seeing that darkness and cussing it, being the one to hear it all and never truly judging it.
Side by side, not always looking straightly eye to eye but always being vocal as to why we're here so that we never lie.
When the headaches were bad and saying come lay on my lap, rest your head and take a nap.
For being a friend I'd never have peeked for 730 days.
Thank you for your pain, your joy, your loath, your frustration, your confusion, your care and blessings....thank you for you.
I am all to aware of your existence
And I am grateful for your breath.
Always calling, always so vigilant and aware.
I don't have a lot to give but I care.
I love you with all my chest and I hope you take this with you to bed and tell the lord, "thank you that we're finally here."
For it has not been easy but I'm glad we can see the sunrise together.
