Chapter 21

- Jerome

I woke up in the middle of the night to Mitch moving from underneat me. He replaced himselve with a pillow and got up. I opend my eyes a bit to see his necklace glowing again. He put his clothes on covering up the glow. He then left the room. I got up aswell and got dressed quickly but quiet. I followed him as he flew off running as fast as I could to keep up. He finnally stopped at a little house. He was looking through an open window from a distance. I moved behind him to see what he was looking at. I saw an old man laying on a bed talking to a young woman. As he looked out the window he smiled at Mitch.

"My time has come darling." He said to the woman before nodding at Mitch. I saw Mitch nod back and the next second the man layed still on the bed the woman crying over him. As I looked back at Mitch I saw him put a faint fog in a jar. I relized Mitch had taken the man's soul and put it in a bottle. What happend to him? Mitch turned around his eyes wide as our eyes met.

"Jerome?" He got a panicky expression on his face.

"No you can't be here. You can't know. You're not supposed to know." He came over to me and grabbed my arm.

"We need to get out of here." He said holding me close to him and flying off without a warning.

"Y...You took that man's soul." I stuttered in his arms.

"You're not supposed to know. No one could know." We arrived at our house in minutes. Mitch put me down on my feet and closed all the windows and doors.

"Why can't I know. Why are you even doing this?" He turned around tears falling down his cheeks.

"When Herobrine took me he forced me into this. If I didn't do it he would kill you. No one could know about it."

"Is, Is he gonna kill me now that I know?" Mitch looked down at the ground.

"I...I don't know."

"C...Can you bring me to my hometown I wanna say goodbye to my mom. Just in case." He shuffled around nervously.

"Jerome, there's something I need to tell you. Your mom, she...she's dead."

"What?"

"Your dad killed her for helping you escape. I had to take her away yesterday."

"You just let my mother die?" I yelled at him.

"I had no choise. It was or taking her or loosing you. I can't loose you." He said taking my hands in his.

"I'll do anything to keep you save." He added. I just relized about Seto's potion, what of I'm pregnant. Would he or she have that same power Mitch has? Will Herobrine take them away to use them?

"Mitch, what if Seto's potion worked?" I saw in his eyes that he knew what I meant.

"I'll do even more to protect you. And I'll make sure he or she is save aswell. Herobrine won't get near any of you."
