chapter 31

- Mitch

I took a deep breath standing infront of the backdoor of my parent's house.

"We can do this another time." Jerome wispered noticing my nervousness.

"No I want to do this." And with that I knocked on the door. After a bit I heard the door being opend.

"Why do you knock at the back..." My dad asked but he stopped as he saw me.

"Mitch...Mitchell?" I saw tears form in his eyes.

"Hey dad." He pulled me towards him and hugged me tight.

"Oh Mitch. Your mom was right. Oh god. We missed you so much."

"I missed you guys too."

"Why did you run away?" He asked.

"That's why I'm here partially. I'd like you to meet my boyfriend, well actually fiancé." I say stepping aside.

"Dad this is Jerome my fiancé, and Nico our son." He looked up and finnally noticed Jerome with Nico in his arms.

"Hello Mr. Hughes. Nice to meet you." Jerome said offering his hand. They shook hands. I saw that Jerome was really nervous, that made Nico cry.

"Let me take him." I said taking Nico from Jerome's arms and calming him down.

"Come in. You have quite some explaining to do." My dad said stepping aside to let us in.

"Who was at the door sweety?" My mom said as she walked out the kitchen. Her eyes widen as she saw me.

"Mitchell." She came right at me and hugged me. I hugged back with one arm, still holding Nico.

"Who is this?" She asked noticing the baby in my arms.

"This is Nico, my son. And that's Jerome, my fiancé." I told her pointing to Jerome. Her smile grew even bigger as I told her that.

"Can I hold him?" She asked motioning to Nico. In the corner of my eyes I saw Jerome worrying.

"Ofcourse." I said handing Nico to her. I scooted over to Jerome.

"It's alright. Stop worrying." I wispered. He took a deep breath and calmed down a bit.

"He's beautifull." My mom said playing with Nico. Jerome smiled and relaxed at that.

"Now can you explain everything?" My dad asked. I nodded as we sat down. I told him I ran away because I was scared they wouldn't apporve of me dating a Bacca, I told them about the Zombie and how I became what I am now. I told them about Herobrine and that that was the reason I was here 6 months ago. I also told them about the potion and how we got Nico. Jerome filling in the things I forgot from time to time.

"So do your parents know Jerome?" My mom asked him. They where sitting right next to eachother. My mom still holding Nico and Jerome keeping a protective eye on him.

"Yes they know about me and Mitch, not about Nico." He said in a soft voice.

"What did they say?" Asked my dad.

"My dad kicked me out of the village and tried to kill me. My mom got killed helping me escape." He said in a flat voice looking away.

"I'm so sorry." My mom said hugging him.

"It's okay. I have Mitch and Nico. They're my family."

"You're our family too Jerome." My dad said. My mom still had her arm around him.

"Thank you." He said in barely a wisper. I saw in his eyes that tears where gonna form, so I tried to help by changing the subject.

"I think it's time to feed Nico." I said.

"Oh yeah. Shall I do it for you guys? Then you can have a break for a second." My mom suggested.

"You really don't have to Ms Hughes." Jerome said.

"But I wanna. I have to take care of my grandchildren. So what does he eat?"

"Anything really. Just give him some cooked beef or something." I said.

"He's a baby Mitch. Shoudn't he eat baby food."

"Mom, he's partially Bacca. Bacca's eat normal food from birth. Usually even raw but he eats cooked stuff." I explained to her.

"Right. I'll take very good care of him. You guys go have some fun." She said.

"Are you sure?" Jerome asked worry clearly in his voice.

"Don't worry Jerome. I raised children aswell he's in good hands." She reassured him.

"Let's go Jerome. I'll show you my old room." And with that I dragged him away from the living room.
