Death and Break Up

Kim Yi Cheol POV:

I was walking to school when Hyunjin came up to me. "I'm so sad", he said.

"Why?", I asked, as I hugged him.

"Kkami passed away", he said, as he kept on crying.

"It's not your fault. I'm sure Kkami was happy the entire time with you", I said, soothing him.

"I want to be fair with you. I want to break up", he said.

"Is it because of someone else?", I asked.

"No, because of Kkami. I'll be crying and being sad, I don't want you to go through the same thing because of me", he said.

"No. I won't let you suffer alone", I said, hugging him.

"Thanks, hyung", he said, as he returned the hug.

"We're always going to be together", I said, pinky promising him, as he wiped his tears.

It was math time and my mind couldn't stop thinking about Hyunjin. "What are you thinking about?", asked Minho.

"It's just about Hyunjin. His dog Kkami died", I whispered. It was lunch and I dragged Hyunjin to the back of the school. "You wnat to talk about it?", I asked.

"Well, Kkami was my best friend, and...", he began, but just kept crying. I gave him a big hug. Then we pulled away. We were moving closer to each other about to kiss until.

"Can you not?", asked Minho, with the rest of our friends behind him.

"Aaah!", screamed Han.

"It's fine", said Seungmin.

"We're so sorry", said Felix, as we all hugged Hyunjin at once, squishing him.

"Thanks guys", he said. He looked at me and we leaned in again but the bell rang signaling time to go to the next class. We all got to our classes. I blushed the entire time thinking about our kiss.

"Hey Hyunjin", I said, as everyone exited school to go home.

"Hi", he said. I held his hand as we walked home together.

"Is everything alright?", I asked.

"I-I. I can't date you anymore", he said.

"Is this about Kkami?", I asked.

"No. I don't like you anymore", he said, looking down.

I was upset. "You can't just play with my feelings", I said, as I began to cry. I ran back home. I started liking Hyunjin from the start.

"What happened?", asked Jisoo, as I walked in.

"Hyunjin broke up with me", I said. "I didn't know he would have played with my feelings".

"Maybe that's not the case", said Jisoo, as she hugged me.

"I mean he must've been sad about Kkami's death, but why would he take it out on me?", I asked. I went to my room and fell asleep.

The next day, I woke up. I went to school. I didn't want to, but my grandmother forced me to.

"Hey", said Minho, greeting me first. I looked at him. "Is everything alright?", he asked. I immediately hugged him. He was surprised but soon hugged me back. "Want to talk about it?", he asked.

"It's just that Hyunjin wanted to break up with me.

"I'm sure that's not the case", said Minho, as he looked me in the eyes.

"But he doesn't like me anymore", I said.

"Even if he doesn't like you, I'm always here for you", said Minho, winking at me.

I blushed red, as the bell rang. "It's time to go", I said, as I went to math class.

It was break time and I was stopped by Hyunjin. "Hey", he said, as I just nodded. "I wanted to break up with you because I know you still like Minho", he said.

"What do you mean?", I questioned.

"Did you see your face when he winked at you? Also you're comfortable around him. Even on the train. I still like Minju and you still like Minho", he said, looking at me.

"I know, but I just want to move on", I said.

"Why?", asked Hyunjin. "Minho's an awesome guy. He is funny and ... all". I laughed.

"Because he doesn't understand how much I liked him that I put aside everything to help him get together with someone else", I said.

"Minho may smile and laugh at school but at home he doesn't. You're the only one who can patch things up. Even his parents want you two to be together. If you really love him, then you'll do it", said Hyunjin, as he walked away.

Now it was time to do some spying on Minho. Not the creepy way but just looking out for him that's all. I saw Minho walking till he was stopped by another guy. They hugged. "Ugh", I groaned.

"What we looking at?", asked Jeongin, appearing out of nowhere.

"We're not looking at anything", I said, nervously.

"Are you sure?", asked Jeongin. "I want to know too".

"We're just", I said, looking at Minho and the guys interacting. "Just looking at people".

"Don't lie. You're jealous", said Jeongin.

"How do you know?" I asked.

"Hyunjin told all of us except Minho how he liked Minju still and you like Minho still", said Jeongin.

"Well, shh", I said. "He can't know that yet". Minho began walking our way. "Don't talk about this".

"Hey guys", said Minho.

"Hey Minho hyung", said Jeongin.

"Hey", I said, dreamily. Jeongin nudged me in the shoulder, then I corrected my mistake. "I mean hi".

"I'll leave you two", said Jeongin, as he left us.

Minho smirked. "So word got around that you and Hyunjin officially broke up".

"Well, yeah", I said.

"So does that mean I have a chance?", he asked leaning closer.

"Depends", I said, pushing him away. I blushed furiously.

"Your cheeks say otherwise", he said.

We regrouped with our friends. "So let's go to the mall", said Changbin.

"Sure, we should. It's raining, so it's a perfect time to go shopping.
