3. Heartbreak

Tae POV:

I was in my room thinking about the marriage stuff. Then something came to my mind so I took my phone and called Y/N. after a few rings she picked up the call.

Y/N: Hello?

Tae: Hi....actually I wanted to discuss something with you. Are you free day after tomorrow?

Y/N: Umm I am not sure, is it ok if I inform you tomorrow cause I am not sure about my schedule for that day (she replied polite)

Tae: Yeah sure no problem

Y/N: Ok good night

Tae: Good night

We hung up and I went to my office room in my house. I switched on the computer and started working.
I stayed up the whole night and completed drafting the contract. I looked at the time and it was 6 in the morning, so I decided to sleep for while.

~ Time skip ~ (at office)

Tae: Mr Na bring the monthly report and also arrange a meeting with Mrs Lee on 21st

Mr Na (Secretary): ok Sir (he said and left)

I took my phone to see if Y/N has sent any message about the meet.

Texts

Y/N : hi ...I am free tomorrow when should we meet?

Tae: 4 pm? The same place where we met for lunch

Y/N: Ok I will be there

Y/N POV :

I was thinking about what Taehyung had to discuss with me when my phone rang . I answered the call as it was from Lia.

Y/N: H-

Lia: YAH HOW CAN YOU JUST CANCEL OUR PLAN AT THE LAST MOMENT???

Y/N: Bro calm down and listen... I have an important appointment tomorrow so I cancelled our plan and I am sorry (I explained her and apologised)

Lia: Bro but you were going to help me to surprise Jake (her bf) (Still angry)

Y/N: Umm actually Taehyung asked if I can meet him tomorrow (I replied)

Lia: Huh? Ok ok ..say thanks to Taehyung because he is the reason I am forgiving you

Y/N: What do you mean? (I asked being confuse)

Lia: Like obviously I can't ruin my bestie's date just because I want her help to help me to surprise my bf

Y/N: bro you are not drunk right? (I asked while giggling)

Lia: Ofc not idiot

Y/N: You sure ? Because the girl who used to warn me not have any other appointments on the day we meet is just letting this slide (I said being amazed)

Lia: Do you want me to change my mind? (She asked being a lil serious)

Y/N: No and sorry bro you have to do all the prep alone tomorrow

Lia: it's ok .. and have fun on your date tomorrow

Y/N: It is not a date (I said being shy 🙈)

Lia: Haha anyway bye

Y/N: Bye.

Then we hung up the call

Next Day (7 pm)
(Club)

I am at a club having a drink. Well I usually don't come to such places but today I had a really bad day. First I lost a huge contract and then something unexpected happened when I met Taehyung. Tears formed in my eyes when I remember the incident .

FLASHBACK
A/N POV:

Y/N reached the place where Tae asked her to come and settled down on a table near the window and waited for Tae to come. After sometime Tae came and sat u front of her.

Tae: Sorry I had some work so I am late

Y/N: It's ok...well you said you wanted to discuss something

Tae: Umm yes

He took out a file from his bag and placed it on the table.

Tae: I wanted you to sign a contract with me

Y/N : What kind of contract?

Tae: read this you will understand

She opened the file and started reading

Y/N: A m-marriage contract?

He nodded.

Tae: For one year, after that we will get divorced

Y/N: But why ?

Tae: Look on our first meet I thought you will refuse to marry me because I didn't want to hurt my parents by disobeying them as this was the first time they asked something from me. But it turned out you were in the same situation like me. So I came up with this contract thing.

Y/N: Ok

Tae: Well you can take your time to think about it .

She nodded.
After some more discussion they both left.

PRESENT
Y/N POV:

I was heartbroken when he said that we will get divorced. I don't know if I should accept it or not. All I knew was I needed someone who can comfort me at this moment. And then I spotted Lia in the club.

Y/N: What is she doing here? Wasn't she going to meet Jake? (I asked myself)

I went towards her.

Y/N : Lia

Lia: OoOH Y/NieeEe~~~ .. CoMe have a DriNk with Mee~~(she said in a drunk voice)

Y/N: No more drinks Lia ! You are super drunk (I said being worried) and why are you drinking so much?

Lia: Because I aM SaD (she said and pouted)

Y/N: Why are sad?

Lia: Because-- (before she finished her statement she fell asleep)

Somehow I brought her to my car and then drove to her house. After sometime we reached her house and with her mom's help I put her to bed.

After one hour she woke up and I was still thinking about today's incident.

Lia: Ugh (she groaned while holding her head)

I went to the kitchen and brought the hangover soup and gave it to her

Lia: thanks

Y/N: Now tell what happened?

Lia: About what?

Y/N: didn't you say you were sad?

Lia: Oh (she looked down) ... I told you right that I was going to surprise Jake

Y/N: Yes

Lia: Well he was the one who surprised me

Y/N :what do you mean?

Lia: after decorating the house I was waiting for him to come. When I heard his car's sound I hid myself so I can surprise him but as soon as he entered he pinned a girl to the wall and was kissing her. At that moment I understood that he was cheating on me. (She explained and burst into tears)

I hugged her trying to calm her down. I thought I could share my problem with her and she could console me but my issue is nothing infront of hers .
