RIN SENT ISAGI a text the next day, checking in on him, which turned into Rin's biggest regret because Isagi was a texter.
He's constantly texting, sending videos, photos, and stupid memes. None of it Rin cared for and repeatedly demanded that Isagi stop.
Whilst the first text exchange was easy, with confirmation the list was completed, Rin suspects Isagi had trouble gauging what some of the limits of their dynamic were.
But at the end of the day, Isagi is a needy being so he texted. A lot.
Rin: are you free this Friday?
Isagi: I am but
Isagi: there's a problem
Isagi: I suppose we need to talk about it
Isagi: are you able to come to the coffee shop at lunch?
Rin's stomach twisted in knots as he wondered what this could be about.

The coffee shop was almost empty despite it being just after lunch. There were only a few people scattered about.
By the side of the counter was the same red-haired co-worker that was there last time. Rin thinks his name is Chigiri, or at least that's what Isagi called him. The co-worker was giggling at what a buff, orange-haired guy was saying, the two finding any excuse to make casual touches.
His eyes darted over to where Isagi was stacking Splenda packets on top of one another, trying to build the tallest one he could.
"Slow day?" he greeted. Isagi glanced up, the packets falling all over the counter. Rin loved how easily the man blushed.
"Oh hi! Rin, hi," Isagi stood up straight. Rin smirked. "Chigiri, can you watch the counter for a minute, I'm going to take my break."
Chigiri looked over and narrowed his eyes in a type of death stare at Rin. Isagi didn't seem to notice, he just started tugging Rin down to the usual booth at the back.
Rin didn't care enough to worry about what that meant. Instead, he asked Isagi what was so important that they had to speak in -person.
"So what did you want to talk about?"
"We need to end this-"
"Why?" Rin cut him off, almost in a panic.
"It's nothing bad, it's just - ugh," Isagi rubbed his face with his palms, "I've had to cut back on shifts because of my classes this semester, so I'm not making a lot of money and the membership to the club is so expensive."
