ISAGI: I wrote the list, did you want me to send it through?

Rin stared down at the text. He was meeting with a client in twenty minutes and did not want to distracted by any potential list.

Rin: No, let's meet for lunch

Isagi responded straight away.

Isagi: Sure, can you come meet me?

A bell on the door notified the coffee shop that Rin had entered, his eyes darting around trying to find the little raven.

Usually, Rin didn't like coffee shops like this, where they were over complicated and had a million things on the board. He was a fan of just a simple coffee — there was no need to overdo it.

Rin's eyes found Isagi where he stood behind the counter. Oh. Isagi hadn't made it clear that this was where he worked. Rin assumed that he had another type of job. Not that there was anything wrong with working at a coffee shop, it's just Isagi always seemed bigger than life. Like this wouldn't be enough for him.

Stalking towards the counter, Isagi smiled and waved.

"Hi, anything I can make for you?"

"Small latte and I'll buy whatever you're having." Isagi laughed at that but Rin wasn't sure why.

Watching Isagi work behind the counter was interesting. He was coordinated and focused, looked really professional, but most importantly, he looked like he was enjoying himself.

After a few minutes, Isagi placed a small paper cup on the table, followed by a large plastic cup which was covered in caramel drizzle and whipped cream. Rin got a cavity by just looking at it.

The raven turned to his co-worker, a person with beautiful, long red hair.

"Chigiri, I'm going on my break now."

The redhead hummed, his eyes catching Rin's before darting back to Isagi in a questioning way.

Isagi ignored this and brought the drinks around to the other side, walking towards a booth at the back of the store.

"I haven't paid-" Rin began to speak.

"Employees get free drinks, but thank you for offering. That was sweet," Isagi smiled, and they sat down across from each other.

"How long have you been working here?" Rin asked to make conversation, and he would be lying if he wasn't a little interested.

"Well, for a long time really. Maybe eight years? Since high school anyway. They're flexible with uni, so I'm able to go to classes and study and whatnot without any issue," Isagi explained animatedly with his hands flying around.
