STIR THE POT
「 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘕𝘰. 26 」
THEY FINALLY HAD a night together and Rin felt relieved. Between both of their full time jobs and Isagi's studies, the two had hardly connected recently.Something Rin wasn't sure he'd care about, but he really did miss, was Isagi's company when he wasn't around. He felt like he was always learning things about himself with Isagi.
Yes, they practically lived together—with Isagi staying over each night—but it wasn't permanent. They hadn't had the discussion; Rin hadn't invited him yet.
Isagi still had his apartment, and Rin still had his abandonment issues.
They were cooking dinner: Rin stirring the pot and Isagi was supposed to be cutting up the vegetables, Instead, he was clicking away at his phone.
Usually, Rin wasn't a jealous person, but he felt like he hadn't seen Isagi in days, and just wanted his attention. He felt pathetic, but he couldn't help it. He missed Isagi so much it hurt.
Rin couldn't stop his legs from walking over and standing behind Isagi. "Who are you texting?" Rin asked, resting his chin on Isagi's shoulder and wrapping his arms around his lover's waist.
"Hm?" Isagi mindlessly replied, not stopping what he was doing. Rin placed a wet kiss underneath his jaw.
"They seem to have all of your attention today." Rin tried to make his voice sound nonchalant, but the bitterness dripped through. Isagi looked up.
"It's—you remember my best friend from school, Barou?" Isagi asked, tilting his head and Rin's jaw clenched. How could he forget that motherfucker.
"Oh, the super alpha male one?" Rin paused. "The one with the massive crush on you?"
"Yes and—Wait, no. He doesn't have a crush on me, that's ridiculous," Isagi laughed and Rin blinked.
"You seriously didn't know? He was obsessed with you," Rin frowned, eyes darting around Isagi's clueless face.
"We're friends, all we've ever been." Isagi crossed his arms over his chest, a little more defensively.
"Yeah, much to his disappointment I'm sure," Rin muttered, making his way back towards the stove.
"Barou doesn't have a crush on me," Isagi said firmly, but his brows frowned in thought, as if he were reflecting on all of his previous interactions with his best friend.
"You're so clueless," Rin said out loud.
"You're so ridiculous, he doesn't have a crush on me and I have proof. He had a boyfriend recently." Isagi sounded so smug, Rin glanced to his side to the raven and raised an eyebrow.
