After finishing their meal and tidying up, Anntonia excused herself and headed upstairs to her room.

On the other hand, Michelle made her way to her study room, a cozy space filled with books and her favorite artwork. As she settled into her comfortable chair, she opened her laptop and started going through the emails that had piled up in her inbox.

With each email she read, Michelle diligently responded and took note of any important tasks or appointments. She made sure to prioritize her work and organize her schedule for the upcoming days. So that she wouldn't have any worries even if they were away for a few days on their honeymoon.

As she delved deeper into her emails, Michelle couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Clearing her inbox and staying on top of her professional responsibilities gave her a sense of control and peace of mind.

Meanwhile, Anntonia was chatting with her best friend, Chatnalin, over the phone.

"Hey, besh. How are you?" Chatnalin asked on the other line.

"I'm okay. Your vacation is over. Are you going back to work tomorrow?" Anntonia asked.

"Yes, I have to. There's a lot of work waiting for me after being away for a while," Nalin replied.

"Well, at least we have something to talk about," Anntonia responded.

"Has your wife arrived?" Nalin asked Anntonia.

"Yeah, she arrived yesterday," she replied.

"How was your first night together as a married couple?" Nalin teasingly asked Anntonia.

"Nothing," she replied shortly.

"Nothing? So, you just stared at each other all night," Nalin responded, chuckling.

"Come on, don't joke around. You know we have an arranged marriage. Our relationship is purely on paper," Anntonia replied, her tone serious.

"Besh, why don't you give yourselves a chance to make your relationship work? After all, you're already married to her," Nalin suggested.

"How do you give a chance to a relationship when two people don't love each other? You know our situation with Michelle, ever since we were young, we never liked each other. That's why every time we see each other, it always ends up in an argument or a fight," Anntonia replied in a tone voice.

Anntonia's mind wandered back to the conversations she had with Michelle last night and during their breakfast together. It was the first and second time they had talked without arguing or getting into a fight.

Anntonia pondered Nalin's words, realizing that there might be some truth to them. She knew that their constant conflicts and disagreements were hindering their progress as a couple.

"Yeah, I know, but just give it a try. Who knows, your feelings for each other might develop. And who knows, your feelings for her might be rekindled," Nalin insisted, encouraging Anntonia.

"I don't know, Nalin. I'll think about it," Anntonia replied, choosing to end the conversation about her and Michelle.

She heard Nalin sigh on the other line. Nalin had always been a headstrong friend who knew Anntonia inside out. She had given her advice numerous times about her and Michelle, but Anntonia hadn't always listened. They had been friends since high school, so Nalin knew a lot about her life, including her relationship with Michelle.

Anntonia appreciated Nalin's concern and understanding, but she needed some time to process her own thoughts and feelings. She knew that Nalin would be there for her whenever she was ready to talk or seek advice.
