Since I had work on Monday, I woke up early. I went downstairs to prepare breakfast. Anntonia was probably still asleep because I hadn't seen her presence yet. After cooking, I decided to make myself a cup of coffee since it was still early, and I didn't have much of an appetite. I sat in the living room, sipping my coffee. Suddenly, my phone rang, and I saw Ruru's name on the screen. I answered the call.

"Hello," I greeted.

"Mich, bro, how are you?" Ruru cheerfully greeted me on the other line.

"I'm okay, Ru. How about you? It's been a while since we last talked," I replied happily.

"I'm doing fine, bro. The bar is opening tonight, so I'm throwing a party at 8 PM. You should come," he said.

"Yeah, Sam and Rhian mentioned it to me yesterday. Sure, bro, I'll be there later," I responded.

"By the way, bro, congrats on your wedding. I was surprised when I heard you got married," he said.

"It was a spontaneous wedding. Only our parents and relatives were there," I replied.

"So, how's married life with Celeste?" he asked again.

I paused. I couldn't answer immediately when I heard Celeste's name. Celeste was my ex-girlfriend. We have been break up three months ago before my wedding with Antonia. Because she cheated me with her business partner.

"Ru, Celeste is not the one I married," I said softly.

"Why? What happened between you and Celeste?" he asked, his voice filled with surprise.

"We broke up three months ago before I got married to someone else," I replied.

"Then who is the lucky girl? He asked

"It's Anntonia. You don't know her, but she's my childhood acquaintance," I answered.

"Ah, I see. Is she beautiful, bro? Introduce her to us," he said with a playful tone.

"Well, she's beautiful. She's total drop-dead gorgeous," I replied, smiling as I remembered Anntonia's beautiful face.

"Bro, it seems like Cupid's arrow has really hit you," he laughed.

"Well, she is indeed lovable," I chuckled in response.

"Bro, I need to end this call. I have someone else I need to talk to," he excused himself.

"Sure, bro," I replied.

"See you later, we seem to have a lot to catch up on," he said.

"Okay, bro," I responded, and we ended our conversation.

Ruru is one of my closest friends from college. He often travels abroad to manage his family's business. After our conversation, I saw Anntonia coming down the stairs.

"Good morning. " I greeted her

"Good morning. " She reponsed

"Are you heading out? Aren't you going to have breakfast?" she asked me.

"Yes, I'll just eat at the office," I replied.

"Okay. Oh, Ann, I wanted to let you know that I'll be going to Ruru's bar opening tonight," I said, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Okay," She responded.

"Do you want to come?" I asked again.

"No, I might get home late," She told me.

I just nodded. She said her goodbyes to me before stepping out of the house.

After Anntonia left, I started to get ready for work. I had breakfast first, then washed the dishes before heading to my room to take a shower. Once I was done showering and dressing, I went downstairs and left the house, making my way to my car.
