Chapter 23

  (Y/N) giggled lightly as she and Gun were playing video games together while her brother was out with their mother on a grocery shopping trip. She was a little surprised since she was the one that usually goes with her mother on errand runs, but since their father isn't home her brother now gets a chance to leave the estate for once. So she decided to introduce Gun to some of her favorite video games, instead of going for the usual sparring.

"Yes!" (Y/N) cheered happily as she won the game, again. "I'm still the reigning champion." She stated with a smug grin as Gun glared at her in return.

He rolled his eyes, "Whatever. I was getting bored anyway." He huffed as he put down the controller before stretching up his arms.

The amber eyed girl chuckled lightly, "More like you're tired of losing." She teased earning another glare from Gun. It was actually peaceful in her home since Gun arrived, the place where she always looked over her shoulder became the place where she can smile brightly. "Want to walk around in the garden? I bet we can find some cool insects or small critters."

Gun smirked, "Yeah like cockroaches." (Y/N) felt a shiver run through her body at the mention of the disgusting insect.

"No, not those! Anything but those are gross." She gagged, wrinkling her nose in disgust.

Gun then took her hand before bringing it to his lips, "Don't worry I'll protect you from those disgusting creatures." He spoke in a smooth tone as a light blush decorated her cheeks, looking away shyly. "C'mon." He said as he kept her hand in his, pulling her away as he guided her down the stairs and out into the garden.

Little did young (Y/N) and her brother know they both also brought a side of himself he didn't know existed, for once he could act like an actual kid and have the chance to just have fun versus just experiencing the joy of fighting. He was able to find joy in other things like games, skateboarding ... even love.

They played in the garden for hours, finding beetles and playing hide and seek, enjoying themselves. The sun began to set as they sat down in front of the koi pond laughing with one another as they fed the fish. "So you go home in a few months right?" (Y/N) questioned looking at Gun with a sad smile on her features. "Must be nice to be able to return back to Japan."

Gun shrugged, "Yea I guess. Although I kind of want to stay here." He stated as he placed his hand on top of hers. "You ... you make me feel things I never felt before. You helped me find liking in other things other than fighting and surviving." He explained with a gentle smile on his features as his black eyes met her amber ones. His face seemed to move closer to hers, their noses almost touching. "I .. You are my light in a dark world." He spoke in a hushed whisper as his grip on her hand tightened a little.

"Gun." (Y/N) replied in a hushed tone as he leaned forward closing the gap, his lips pressing against hers. She froze up for a moment before kissing back in return, a hand being placed on his cheek as she tilted her head to deepen the kiss.

Everything was just right till the words she wished she never heard fell on her ears, "Master Seong is home."

"Zoe, come one." I say as I walk ahead of her with my hands inside my sweatshirt pockets as I lead the way to Daniel's place since she insisted for me to show her. Which I didn't mind nor did I think Daniel would, after all she isn't some random fangirl of Daniel's.
