Blended family pt.3

Karlie and Taylor were 22 and engaged when we last saw them. Grace was just 3 years old. Y/n was with Angelina, they all thought they had everything figured out.

It's 5 years later, however Taylor and Karlie aren't happy in their relationship, they're both tired of trying to make this work. Karlie is falling for someone else and Taylor can't even see it. Karlie wants to fight for her family but it seems like staying together is destroying the both of them... nobody wants to be the one to rip the band aid.

Taylor doesn't feel anything and is staying for the sake of their daughter who's now only 8. She doesn't have her heart in the relationship anymore and there's apart of her that never gave up on y/n. The blonde singer has a whole fake account that she uses to keep up w/ her ex lover. She knows it's wrong, but keeping tabs on her is the only that can bring her some slight joy these days, besides her daughter of course. Taylor would give anything for that little girl even if it means putting her happiness aside and trying to give her the picture perfect family.

It was only last week when news broke that Angie and y/n were expecting their first baby together and it absolutely wrecked Taylor. She told Karlie that she had to go out of town to record...it wasn't anything out of the blue so Karlie didn't think much about it, but given the state of their relationship Karlie doesn't think twice about what her wife does these days.

Taylor cried her eyes out at the cabin she disappeared too. The one on the lake that her and y/n use to visit. The person who the blonde singer had figured out too late was the love of her life was expecting her first baby was with someone that wasn't her. There was nothing she could do about the situation. Clearly y/n moved on and Taylor felt like she was still stuck where y/n left her that night on her porch when she broke up with her.

The swifts stayed together for another 4 years though because that same year that y/n announced she was pregnant, just so happened to be the year that Karlie did too. It wasn't expected or planned but the couple that was scrambling for anything to hold on to for the sake of their relationship took this as a sign that maybe they should keep trying to make it work...and they did until the baby was around 3 just as Grace was the first time around, the cycle was coming full circle. Taylor and Karlie decided to call it quits. Karlie had already been seeing Cara on the side for sometime now and Taylor did step out a few times but nothing and nobody could shake her mind from who she truly wanted.

Grace was 12 now and she took her parents spilt rough in the beginning but she could even tell that the two weren't in love. Not like when she was little, something switched between that time and now but she saw just how happy they were without each other, it was years since she had seen her mother's in a state like so she understood and was happy for them. Noah on the other hand was only 3 and he had no clue as to what was happening as long as he had cocomelon on he could care less about anything.

Unbeknownst to Taylor Y/n and Angelina split just the year before she and Karlie did. They just coparented well for the sake of their daughter Aurelia.

Taylor was finally getting out of the house since she was being bugged consistently by Blake and Selena. They knew the state their friend was in and although Taylor wasn't necessarily sad about the breakup she did feel guilty about letting down her kids.

They went out to a simple dinner and enjoyed a meal. It was only then, mid way through their meal Taylor would recognize the one person she'd been wishing to see. Y/n walked in alone. The hostess looked around at the packed exclusive restaurant looking for a seat for the brunette but couldn't locate one.

Taylor instantly got up and made her way over to y/n who was on her way out but stoped at the feeling of someone gently grabbing her shoulder.

When y/n laid eyes on the blonde in front of her, her heart skipped a beat and little flutters stirred in her stomach.
