Y/n POV
High school is the time we're you find yourself and go through the motions of all the teenage angst, but it wouldn't be school if there was no drama. I'm the captain of the soccer team and openly bi. Surprisingly my school doesn't really think much of it. My ex did though. She wasn't ready to come out and I understand that, I really do. She wanted to have a boyfriend and date me in secret so nobody would know about us. For 5 months I tried to go along with it but it was just too much heartache. She made me feel like us dating was just whenever her boyfriend was busy or she needed a distraction, it never felt like she was 100% in it. It's the 1st day back after summer and being in the small town that we live in it was hard not to see her and her boyfriend everywhere.
The warning bell rang and everyone was scrambling to their 1st class of the day. I saw Taylor leaning against her locker talking to her boyfriend John some burn out who's barley in school half the time. I passed them as I held my head high and made sure I didn't look at them.
I heard a soft voice call out as I turned around and saw the most stunning girl I've ever seen in my life. She was definitely my type.

"I'm new do you know where this class is" she asked as I quickly snapped out of my trance and nodded. The girl noticed my lingering gaze and smirked causing me to send a flirty smile her way.
"Yeah let me take a look" I said as she handed me her schedule
"It's right up here and it looks like we have the same class, do you mind if I walk you miss..." I trailed off waiting for her to state her name
"Claire, Claire Sinclair" she said with a light bite of her lip.
"That's a Lovely name for a Lovely girl, I'm Y/n Y/l/n" I said as rolled her eyes and looked me up and down.
"Lead the way y/l/n" Claire said as I nodded but pivoted quickly
"Let me take those for you" I said gesturing to her books as she chuckled and shook her head
"You're something else" she said as she handed them over as we continued to walk to class. We sat down in the middle of the back of the class and I handed Claire her books only for her to catch me off guard with a peck on the cheek
"Thanks for all the help this morning" Claire said catching me off guard as soon as her lips touch my cheek, a light blush soon creeping up.
"Anytime" I tried to play cool as I looked up at the front of the room on to feel Taylor's eyes on me as she walked to her seat. She looked annoyed and maybe some what jealous.
"Alight class you're going to be in groups for a project due in 3 weeks so please rearrange your tables into sets of threes and then everyone move to the front of the classroom." The teacher spoke as everyone quietly moved the tables and moved to the front.
