8. The Seahorse & The Finch (MikaFrem)

Mika stayed silent, trying his best not to disturb the little yellow finch before his eyes. He was absolutely fascinated by it, as he was all birds.

Right as he snapped a photo his subject flew off, replaced by an unfamiliar boy.

"Awh, I was hoping to get more pictures..." The freedom born boy chuckled.

"Oh, I'm sorry! Did I interfere with something?" The stranger replied, his eyes an interesting shade of grey-blue.

Mika shook his head lightly with a smile before explaining what was happening before.

"It's just a pastime, it's not like my job would be impacted." The boy chuckled. "I'm Mika by the way, I work as a land surveyor for the Knights of Favonius."

"I'm...Freminet, a diver from Fontaine." The boy, now identified as Freminet, introduced.

"That's cool! So, what's a diver from Fontaine doing in Mondstadt?" Mika couldn't help but ask.

"My older siblings are here to perform, I'm just tagging along to support from the sidelines." He explained.

The two continued to talk about their hobbies and what it's like in their respective nations as they made their way into the city.

"There you are Freminet!" Another blond young man spoke, jogging over to the pair accompanied by a girl with cat features.

Freminet briefly panicked, not used to attention being on him.

"Are these your siblings?" The Mondstadter asked, tilting his head a bit.

"Indeed we are. I'm Lyney, a Fontanian magician." He bowed.

"This is my twin sister, and assistant, Lynette." He gestured to the girl next to him, she nodded in acknowledgement.

Mika was curious about this trio of siblings. To start, Lynette was the only one of the three with cat features while her twin and younger brothers looked completely human. He was also a bit off put by her seemingly empty expression when paired with her twin's incredibly wide range of expressions.

"I'm Mika, I work for the Knights of Favonius." He shook the magician's hand. "Freminet and I met while I was out bird watching."

Lyney nodded along, glancing at his younger brother with a small smile.

"Awh, Fremi made a new friend!"

The diver looked away, face red in embarrassment.

"Oh, I just remembered something 'Father' told me about a pharmacy here." The pyro user mentioned. "It's probably best for you to head there for your prescription. The shows Lynette and I are doing are for a little over a month."

Freminet, sensing his brother giving him an opportunity to leave, nodded along and attempted to bid his farewells.

"Since you've never been here, I can take you there." Mika offered.

"Um...what do you think Lyney; Lynette?" The young diver nervously glanced between his older siblings.

"I think it'll be fine to let him take you, he works for the Knights of Favonius after all." The girl's monotone voice made the polearm user a bit uneasy.

After a bit more conversation, including Mika giving the magicians directions for future reference, the cryo wielding pair were off.

"...Thank you for taking me to the doctor's." Freminet stutter slightly. "I wasn't able to fill my prescription in time back home."

"Fontaine's pretty far from here, huh?"

The claymore user nodded lightly, his heart beating in his chest.
