let her go

Alec's point of view

The glances she was giving me told me that she wanted something more than just being friends. I watched as she remained in the same spot as before so I decided to move closer to her in hopes that she would say something but she never did, I wasn't sure what she was thinking but I decided to give her some space to think about things.

I had hopes that her and I would be more than friends but it seemed like she was feeling differently about it. I gave her a quick hug and headed back home so she could be alone.

I seen Andy sitting on the couch when I walked inside the house as he was playing his guitar.

Andy: how is she doing?

Alec: I've decided to let her go...

Andy: what happened dude?

Alec: I don't know man, she just seemed like she was out of it. I've never seen her like that before and it hurt me seeing her that way so she will be better off forgetting about me.

Andy: I thought you had feelings for her...

Alec: I do but I can't be with her if she's the way she was tonight, she just looked so.... it was like I was with an entirely different person.

Andy: don't give up on her now Alec, she's probably just going through something and needs a friend.

Alec: I think it would be better if she and I never see each other anymore after tonight.

Andy: I'm sorry dude, I hope things work out between you and her.

I headed to my room and fell into my bed then pulled my phone out of my pocket and looked at the picture I took of us that night we shared after getting ice cream.

I knew that it would hurt at first but she would eventually forget that I even existed and be happy with someone else.
