Goal 11: Nagi Chapter

Nagi woke up from his alarm clock. He reached his hand to it to cease its irritating rings. Sluggishly pushing himself up from his bed, he blinked a few times to keep himself awake and assess the situation. Looking over to the window sill beside him, there sat a peaceful living cactus. Just like its owner, boring but it had its spikes. 

"Morning Choki." Nagi poked the cactus and the pain made him fully awake. 

Before getting off of his bed, he played a few matches of a multiplayer shooting game. Sighing, his mind wandered to the fact that life is tiring. Stomach rumbling means he's hungry, and if he ate, he had to brush his teeth. Doing all of these before going to school made him realize that if he doesn't go to school, he could play games all day. Living is such a pain. 

Before leaving the house he lived alone, "Later, Choki. Here's your goodbye peace." Nagi posed in front of the cactus, doing a peace sign. 

On his way to Hakuho High, a luxury looking car pulled over in front of Nagi. He was greeted enthusiastically by the person's flashing purple hair coming out of the vehicle. 

"Hey Nagi! I came to pick you up, get in!" Mikage Reo, basically a rich guy, invited Nagi in. Letting himself be pulled by Reo towards the vehicle, he sighed. "..I didn't ask you to." 

"Well, you promised right? That you'd play soccer with me?" Reo grinned. 

Remembering the other day, he doesn't know why of all times, he just had to remember the fateful break up with his childhood friend. Indeed it was the same exact invitation for him from his childhood friend– to play soccer with them. 

"Ah.. yeah." Nagi replied, remembering the conversation he had with the rich guy. 

"I always had this motto, hear me out– 'I always get what I WANT.' So you and I are now partners from today on." Reo hummed before getting inside his car. A tall old woman– in good shape surprisingly- surprised Nagi. "Please get in, friend of Young master Reo." 

"Ah- this is Ba-ya. She's my chauffeur and attendant." Reo introduced the car. "At your service." Ba-ya greeted with a bow in respect. 'She has a nose like a witch's.' Was all Nagi could think of. 

When they all got in, Reo served Nagi a non-alcoholic drink. "You live alone?" He started. "Yeah, I came to this school to get into a good company so that I can live an easy life in the future. I think I have told you that." Nagi rolled his eyes. 

"You did? All I heard was you don't want to work. So you're pretty much forced into everything, aren't you?" Reo hummed as he took a sip on his glass. "Yeah, I intend to retire early and live the way I want. A slowlife, but I'll get there." The albino sighed at the thought that he still has long ways to go‐ long ways to suffer. 

"Well, as an office worker, you'll get hundreds of millions if you invest well. As for a world-class soccer player, you'll be earning billions per year or more. Ain't that much more than settling on being an office worker?" Reo set facts to convince him to play soccer with him. 

"Woah, I see. But doesn't the pay reflect the difficulty of being such? Besides, I have no idea of the rules." Nagi lied as he took a sip of the fizzy drink on the glass. 

"If it's about the rules, you'll be fine." Reo leaned on the small propped up table between them. "You and I will win the world cup! That's my dream!" Reo made his and Nagi's glasses clink. 

"Ehh, what a hassle dream." 

"Hehe, glad to work with you Nagi. Call me boss." 

Ba-Ya dropped them off at the gates and girls gathered by the entrance where Reo's gonna pass. "Ah! Reo-sama!" Almost all the girls greeted him and Reo greeted back. "Mornin'!"
