THEO

Leaning on my side and elbow, I watched Skye as she slept.

Since we got into her flat, all Fang and I wanted to do was claim her. I could see the hesitation in her eyes, but when I was about to tell her she didn't need to do anything she didn't want to do she surprised me with a kiss.

I knew she was trying to be confident, but there was something about her that was still holding back.

Fang believes it's her, not her wolf. Her wolf seemed eager to mate us, and once I had Skye, I knew I was a goner. The woman had me in all ways, even my heart.

Hard to believe that the two rogues would ever find each other. There was no way I was letting her go.

When I walked into her flat, I couldn't help but look around the place. There was very little to call home. There were no photos or anything like flowers and pictures that she placed up on the walls. It looked like it hadn't had a face of paint in years, since it looked mostly yellow. I doubt anyone lived here before her, as the furniture is basic.

I wanted to ask her to come with me, join the fair, and to be with me. There was still time, but last night was the night just for her. It was Valentine's Day but it was also her birthday.

Movement in my head brought me back to the present and looked back at Fang, who seemed to be happy.

"I am happy," he murmured. "We mated with mate over five times."

The corners of my lips curled up into a knowing grin. I had Skye four more times after I mated with her. She was more comfortable and even took charge when she climbed on top of me to ride my cock. Fuck, it was a perfect sight to see. Her boobs bouncing while she went up and down, the way she moaned. The only thing on her body was her locket, but I said nothing.

"We should make mate breakfast," Fang blurted out, which made me look back at Skye.

That be perfect.

Waking up the next day with breakfast in bed and coffee would make this more romantic.

Skye was still sleeping. I slowly moved up from bed and walked quietly out the door while grabbing my clothes. Closing the door behind me, I stepped out and got dressed.

After dressing, I walked over to the kitchen and looked in all the cupboards, even the fridge. Everything was bare—no food whatsoever.

That's weird.

Why would she not have food here?

Fang grunted, but I ignored him. Glancing at the clock on the wall, it read six am. Most of the people at the fair would be awake, even my brother.

Opening a mind link to Jacob, who answered me straight away. "Hello, brother," he said, sounding cheerful. "How did it go with your mate?"

"Fine," I said, not giving too much away, even though he could probably feel how happy I was through the link.

"Just fine, huh?" he asked, sounding amused. "So, is she coming with us when we leave or—"

"I haven't brought it up yet," I blurted out, cutting him off.

Jacob sighed. "Why wouldn't she—"

"We didn't exactly do any talking," I blurted out again, cutting him off. I knew he hated it when I did stuff like that, but I didn't have time to go through the entire process of explaining and giving him every detail.

"Wow," he said. "You mated and—"

"Just mated," I said, cutting him off which earned me a growl.

"Theo, for fuck's sake, you cut me off three times," he muttered, which only made Fang laugh in my head, knowing his wolf would feel the same, too.

"I know," I said. "I'm sorry."

Looking toward the bedroom door, I walked over and looked in to see Skye hadn't moved. I knew I had to leave before she woke up, or she would think I left her here and did not want her.

Fang growled, but I ignored him. I wanted her. I just wanted to do something nice for her.

"Theo!" Jacob called out, while I walked to her front door and headed out.

"Sorry," I said. "I just wanted your opinion on something."

"Okay," he said, sounding hesitant.

"She told me she was part of a pack that was part of the war," I muttered, which caused him to curse under his breath but said nothing. "She also asked me if we were in a pack."

"Well, we sort of are," he said, which made me stop. I was now in town. But I needed to ask him something else.

"We are?" I asked, which only made Jacob groan.

"Yes, we are," he said with a sigh. "There are enough people here to be one. We just haven't confirmed it. Why do you ask?"

I explained to him what she asked, and after I was done. He sighed. "It seems she is new to being a rogue," he said, feeling slightly sad. "She must only know how to live in a pack."

That could be the case.

"Okay," I said. "I'm going to stay with her and try to persuade her to come back with me. She doesn't have much to her name by the look on it, so she may come with us."

"Theo, don't push her," he said. "I will explain all this to Louis. He may be able to come up with something."

I felt grateful for his words and said goodbye after I told him what I was doing which only made him laugh and tell me I was going to be in her good books for life.

I smiled and closed the link.

My eyes darted around and knew what to do. I didn't know when she would wake up, only that I wanted to be back before she did.

I made the rounds. First heading into a corner shop to get some eggs and bread, picking up a few extra bits too. Then I headed into the coffee shop for the pastries and coffee. On my way to head back to the flat, I noticed a flower shop and picked some up for her. They would make any woman feel loved, right?

I walked back to the flat and opened the door. The door to the bedroom was still ajar from when I looked in before I left. Heading over to the kitchen, I placed the shopping away and then placed all the pastries out onto a plate with the coffee beside them.

As I was placing the finishing touch, I heard movement from the bedroom, which made Fang look through my eyes and mumble. "Mate is awake."

I waited until the gorgeous beauty came out of the room and her eyes met mine. Her eyes rounded slightly, then went to the counter as her mouth dropped open.

My lips curled up into a grin as I walked toward her. Placing my hand on her waist, I pulled her to me, which made her place her hand on my chest. Her eyes locked with mine. "What's all this?" she whispered, looking back to the counter with a small smile.

"Breakfast," I said, placing a kiss on her cheek, and pulled back.

"You didn't have to do all this," she said, looking back at me, but I shook my head.

"I did and wanted to," I said with a smile. "I thought we could stay in and have some food, maybe get to know each other more."

"I have little in," she blurted out, which made her cheeks go red.

I grinned.

"Well, I went to the store and bought some bits for us to use," I said. "Also, we could order in too. I picked up some takeaway menus."

Skye nodded, but she looked like she was far away. Placing my finger on her chin, I moved her till she looked at me. "I want you to be my mate," I whispered, making her eyes go wide. "I want to get to know you, then we can discuss what to do next."

Skye stared at me for a moment, but she moved her head out of my grip and looked at the food. A loud growl came from her stomach, which made her go redder again, but I said nothing.

"Mate is hungry," Fang murmured. "Maybe eat first and then we can talk about everything."

That was the plan. I had to do this slowly, but only till I could get her to agree to come with me.
