Chapter 8 Kindness

"Jester, why not help Max cook it? I , have some medicine for those cuts , and bruises I'll help the cubs!"
They shyly , and cautiously follow me inside I , opened my book bag and got my first aid kit.

I , took a clean hide and wet it in the hot spring " Now , be still and let's clean those cuts !" I , got his face first then worked on his arm... Ssst he winced " Oh , I know it hurts just bear with me!"

" Okay , now this is an ointment that will help it heal , and hopefully not scar!" I , put antibiotics ointment on all his cuts then ,a bandaid on the biggest one on his arm.

"Now , little beauty do you have any cuts?" She , had one on her thigh under the skirt " Okay , you clean your cut with the hide , then put this on the cut!" We , got done with that " Let's , go outside and share these fruits!"

They look at each other "What is it?" Your sharing! But it's yours?
" Yes , and I want to try your favorite fruits with you! You ,two cute cubs need to smile more!"
I , reach down pulling them into a hug.

I feel wet tears " Baby , why are you crying?" Why ,are you so nice to us? I , wicked her tears away with my thumb... " Why , do you cubs think Beast God sent me here?
They , went outside with me and I took my first bite " Mmm , it's sweet and sour this would make a good jelly or fruit snack!"

I , picked up another one aware of juice on my cheek ... He laughed ..I giggled and quickly grabbed him "Tickle tickle tickle!" He , wiggles and laughs he sister cub started tickling me so I had to wiggle the two rascals got me down I laughed "Time out you two !"

After , a few minutes of calming down and telling the kids stories about my nieces , nephews and my life... Jester, stood there peering over at me with a smile.

" So , cubs would you like us to build you a bedroom on the side?"
Can we both have one? " Hmm , how about one for brother cubs , and the other for sister cubs?"
After , a minute they both nod.

" You , two like that idea?" .... "Don't be afraid! Just ,say what you need to!" You , aren't our mother so.. what do we call you? " Little cubs call me Mama Jessica! It's , another way of saying mother but ,your mother will always be your birth mother! Just ,give me a little corner there!" I , touch their little chests.

Jessica!they said. I , looked at the cubs... "Okay , then let's talk about where you want the rooms!" After , a few minutes Roscoe , got back with a big regular tiger beast.

I hugged him " Let's , keep all the hides!" I , took the two seeds I saved from the fruit , and planted them with the cubs. We ,cupped our hands with water , and dripped it over the seeds.

I , stepped in the river and splashed the cubs they both got in the shallow , and splash me back we were all laughing after while.
Come , eat cubs! I looked over at Jester.

He , seems happy but also to have mixed emotions about , something by the look on his face... They gave me meat first... I waited for them "Why aren't you all eating too? Cubs eat"

I took a bite breaking two pieces "Say ahh!" I stuff their mouths..
I , took another bite of meat then.. first I gave Max a bite and a kiss.
Next I gave Roscoe a bite he licks my fingers and I kissed him. Then , I look at Jester he took the bite then pulled me into a hug.

"Jester!" He , looks at me and I started slowly kissing him his tounge tasted me as he returned it.
We broke for air... Can we go talk?
" Yes Jester!" We , all sat and ate some more meat.

He stood... Cubs stay here! I , took his hand as we walked through the , village to his hut he shut the door behind. My , cubs haven't laughed like that in a long time!
I failed to protect her! " No they took advantage of the situation , and she did what any female who really loves her males should be willing to fight tooth , and nails for! It's , wasn't your fault! "
