Kaylinas pov

FLASHBACK

6months ago.

LA, California

"Oh my gosh Katherine. Richards not even into me like that." I giggled as I tried to focus on the road. I stuck the iPhone in between my shoulder and my ear.

"He is so into you like that. He's totally in love with you. And he's rich too." She said. I rolled my eyes.

"Haha I don't like him cause he's rich. And we've only hung out a couple of times. In fact I'm on my way to see him."

"Ooh at night. Are you going to finally lose your v-card."

"I'm not like that. Anyway I have to go. I'll call you later."

I set the iPhone down next to me. It slid down under the seat.

"Fuck." I whispered under my breath as I bent down to get it.

*CRASH*

"Ahh!" A woman's voice screamed.

I jumped up. I looked at the lifeless body lying in the middle of the street. I froze. I quickly dialed Richards number.

"Hey Kaylina." He said.

"Richard I did something terrible. Please come help me." My voice quivered.

Flashback ends

I rolled over into someone's arms. My eyes fluttered open. Liam was laying beside me. I smiled. He looked down at me.

"Morning sunshine." He muttered.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I nuzzled my head onto his chest.

"To wish you a happy birthday." He whispered. I rolled my eyes.

"Another year older." I said as I got up to take a shower.

When I returned Liam was gone. I tip toed to my closet. I put on a sweater and some jeans. I looked into the mirror. My fingers gently touched the bruises Richard left me.

"Happy birthday!" Gaby screamed as she entered my room. She tackled me to the floor.

"Thanks." I giggled.

"Liam said that he's bringing his friend for dinner?"she asked. She tried to hide the smile that grew on her face.

"Yes now go pick a dress." I instructed her. She nodded and pranced out.

*ding dong

I skipped down the steps to open the door. I opened the door to find a man with flowers covering his face.

"Liam." I giggled.

The man lowered the flowers. It was jai.

"Oh jai, umm this is sweet but I'm with Liam." I said. I mean just rip the band aide off quickly right?

His smile faded.

"Eh...uh this is awkward....um these are for gaby. I heard she's been having a hard time with the break up." He nervously said.

I clicked my tongue.

"I'll just take them to her then." I whispered as I grabbed the white roses.

I slowly started to close the door as I set the flowers down.

"Oh happy birthday!" He exclaimed.

"Thanks jai." I said as I wrapped my arms around him. He quickly pushed away. I then realized he was a bit too excited.

"I have to go." He quickly turns away.
