Chapter 15

Kaylinas pov

My eyes fluttered open. I searched the white room for something familiar. In the corner a familiar figure sat. I blinked a couple of times to better my vision.

"Liam?" I whispered. I could barely talk. The figure sat up.

"Kaylina! You're awake." He said with joy. He rushed into the hall.

"Guys she's awake." He said to a group of people. The blurriness faded and now I could see everything clearly. Liam came back in. He gripped my hand. His cheeks were stained with tears.

"W-what happened?" I asked.

"K-kaylina.. The doctor will be here soon." He said, completely ignoring my question.

Minutes later a nurse came in.

"Kaylina, you were in a terrible car accident. And you lost the child." Her eyes watered a bit.

"Liam? Is this some kind of sick joke? Excuse me. Get me the real doctor. Where is my baby? Give me my baby!" I yelled at the nurse. She fled with fear. The doctor came in. He tried to calm me down.

"L-let me see my baby." I whispered. Liam rubbed my arm.

"L-let me s-see h-her.P-please." I begged the doctor. Liam nodded and the doctor walked out.

"L-Liam....w-where's my baby?" My lip quivered. His eyes watered.

"Kaylina....your babys gone. " He whispered. My heart broke. The tears didn't stop. My sobs started to get louder and faster.

"No! My baby is n-not dead. L-Liam." My voice cracked. My sobs continued as I stared at him. He gripped my hand.

"Do you need anything?" Gaby asked as she opened my bedroom door. Everyone has been walking on eggshells trying not mention anything about the baby. I just wish they would act normal.

"I'm fine thanks." I said.

"I could-like um help with stuff. i mean i dont want to baby-" she froze as if she killed someone.

"you could say the word baby in front of me. I just want to be treated normal." I demanded

She smiled and walked out. It's been a week since the accident. I haven't talked to Liam or Jai since. I mean they've called plenty of times. I-I'm just not sure if I'm ready to talk. I started to pack the pregnancy stuff away in a box. I pulled the large jackets out of my closet and folded them.

"I could do that for you." I turned to see Liam standing at my door. I swallowed the saliva that was forming in my mouth. I was shocked. I froze.

"I want to help." He added. He was wearing a grey v-neck and jeans. He licked his lips, waiting for an answer.

"S-sure." I said. He slowly walked towards me. He started to fold, or should I say attempted to fold the sweaters. He sat on my bed trying to close the box.

"Liam." I said.

"Yes." He looked up from the box.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about the baby." I bit my lip.

"What are we? I mean you broke up with me because of the baby right? Well what are we now?" He asked.

There was still the Richard matter that I hadn't discussed with him. And the girl I ran over.

"I don't feel the same way about you anymore. There is no more us." Oh god I wish I hadn't said that. It was like we broke up all over again. Tears formed in his eyes.
