Chapter 16
Liam's pov
I opened one eye. Kaylina was running her fingers through her long curly/wavy brown hair as she paced back and forth. She looked so cute wearing my shirt. It was way to big for her.
--
Last night
"Liam come tuck me in." Kaylina pouted as she struggled to open her front door. I took the key from her and unlocked it.
"I'll tuck you in." I sighed. She smiled and closed the door.
"Everyone's gone." She taunted as she grabbed my shirt.
"Wow you are so drunk right now." I chuckled.
"Kiss me." She whispered. Our lips were so close. " I know you want to."
"Let's get you up stairs." I fought every nerve in my body to keep myself from pulling her in close and kissing her.
"I'll change to pajamas." She giggled as she walked into her bathroom. I sat on her bed. Moments later she emerged in her under garments.
"Liiiaaamm." She moaned.
"Kaylina." My jaw dropped. She walked over towards me.
"Shhh. No one has to know." She kissed me. She pushed me on the bed. Her fingers roamed my stomach.
--
Present time
"Kaylina" I said. She stopped in her tracks and looked at me.
"You're awake." She breathed. "I think you should leave." She bit her lip.
"Yeah. Uhh." I said as I put my underwear on and my jeans.
"Ill give you your shirt later." She said as I walked past her. I looked back once more before walking out.
--
"Out all night, scandalous!" Louis said as he sat on my chair.
"Lou, it was amazing." I smiled as I laid on my bed.
"Yeah until she kicked you out." He reminded me.
--
Kaylinas pov.
I removed Liam's shirt from my body. I jumped in the shower. The water ran down my body.
I changed into some shorts and a t-shirt. I did my bed.
"This doesn't change anything." I whispered to myself. Should I call him? I folded his shirt. I wanted to keep it forever.
I grabbed Gaby's car keys and took off. I pulled up to Liam's house. There was a man sitting on the porch. He had a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other.
"Hi. Does Liam live here?" I asked as I stood there.
"Yeah." He spit into the grass next to me.
"May I go in?" I asked. He extended his greasy hand towards the door. I nodded and slowly went in. The house was small but cozy. There was a picture of a woman. She looked like Liam. She was smiling, holding a baby. I walked up the crooked stairs. There were family pictures lined up against the wall. There was one of a boy, I presume it's Liam. The boy was naked in the shower, he was about 5 years old.
I got to the top of the stairs. There were three doors. I opened the first one, there was a bed and a dresser. It was rather messy. It smelled of liquor. I closed the door. I opened the door next to it. It was a bathroom. Finally the last door. I opened it and Liam was laying on his bed, Louis was sitting on a chair playing with a rubix cube. They both looked up at me.
"Kaylina!" Liam smiled. He immediately got up to hug me. I couldn't help but smile back. Louis examined me.
"Hmmm." He hummed.
"Do you mind?" Liam shot a look at Louis.
"Oh no I don't. Carry on." Louis said as he leaned back in his chair. I couldn't help but giggle.
"Louis don't you have to go....now." Liam said.
"Oh! Oh right bye love birds." Louis said as he brushed past us.
"Kaylina....." Liam whispered. I didn't want to stop hugging him, but he pulled away. I was still in his arms.
"Yes." I answered. He looked down at me.
"Just say the word a-and ill call Michelle, and ill b-break it off with her. Just say the word." He said. He's given me so many chances to take him back.
"Liam there's something I have to tell you. But promise me that you won't freak out.." He led me to his bed and we sat down.
"I promise." He looked into my eyes.
"What I'm about to tell you. It'll change everything."
"Nothing could ever change the way I feel about you."
"I did something."
"What?"
I killed someone Liam." I whispered. I didn't want him to know. His smile faded.
He scooted closer to me.
"Who? W-here? When?"
"I-it was an accident. I-ill explain. Please." I begged.
"Go on." He looked at his hands.
"It happened a couple of months before i came here. I was driving to a friends house. I wasn't paying attention to the road and I hit a girl. I made some calls and that was it. I never found out her name." I couldn't tell what he was thinking. "Liam? Say something."
"I think you should let me think about this. I need sometime alone. Please." He never made eye contact.
I nodded and walked out. Louis was sitting on the stairs.
"Oh god. Don't tell me you didn't take him back. Don't you have a heart?" Louis said as he jogged into Liam's room. I ignored his comment and walked out.
--
It's been days since I talked to Liam. I miss him. His touch. The way he smelled. I restrained myself from calling him.
"Kaylina...." Jai said. He slowly opened the door.
"Jai." I whispered. He sat next to me on my bed.
"How have you been?" He asked. He had a faint smile.
"Fine. You?"
"I have a girlfriend now. Her names Ariana."
"Oh...good for you."
It was silent. Awkward silent. He clicked his tongue and stood up. I nodded and he walked out.
My phone rang.
"Hey." I softly said.
"Hi. Can I come over?" Liam said.
"Yeah. No ones home."
--
Liam must have made up his mind. Does he want me back? Does he want to tell me in person he hates me? Questions were racing through my head. The door bell rang.
It was Liam. He was wearing a grey tank top and shorts.
"Kaylina, I love you. And your past is your past. I want to focus on our future." He said as he picked me up. He pushed me up against the wall. Our lips met. My fingers dug into the back of his neck.
"Liam. I love you too." I whispered.
There was a knock on the door. Liam let me down and He went to go open the door.
"Hi, I don't believe we've met. I'm Richard."
