Chapter 4

Kaylinas pov

I walked back inside the room. Gaby waved her hand towards me. She was sitting at the head of the table.

I brushed past the tables as I pulled up a seat next to Gaby. "So tonight's party." A red headed girl started to say. She examined my face. "I suppose you could come. I'm Hannah. The party's tonight at my house." She said. Her hand extended towards mine. She shook it and placed it on her lap. The table chatter didn't seem to amuse me. My eyes wandered until they met Liams. He was laughing with his friends. His eyes locked with mine. He held my stare for a quick second before rejoining his conversation.

2 hours later*

The bell rang signaling that 7th period was over. I fiddled with the cold lock before entering the combination. "Kay. Um Luke is um picking Gaby up for the party. Um they were planning on riding alone so do you want to um like I could pick you up...if you want." Jai asked. He was messing with his brown hair.

"Sure. Um pick me up at 8." I stated as I walked away. Gaby was already waiting outside for me. I hopped into the car. "Okay so like you can wear something I have. Um okay my mom is staying at the station late today like till morning time. So we won't have to worry about her. Um I'll get home with Luke. You could come with?" She rambled to herself. I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but I wasn't interested at all in the party. I was only going because I heard Liam would be there. I know I should stay away....but I can't. I want to spend time with him.

As soon as we drove into our driveway Gaby ran out. "I have to start getting ready!" She screamed as she swung the house door open. I jogged behind her. She ran up stairs and into her room.

"Kay! Hurry up!" Gaby screamed from her bedroom door. I jogged up to see a tight black dress laying on the floor. I picked it up, my eyes examined the soft clothing. I set the dress nicely on my bed.

I curled my hair. And applied some mascara.

2hours later.

"Luke and Jai are here." Gaby said as she walked into my room she was wearing a red dress that hugged her curves. "You look good. Now hurry." Gaby state as she skipped downstairs. I slipped on some black pumps and followed her.

"Woah." Jai whispered. He was wearing a white button up shirt with blue jeans. "Let's go." I said. Gaby and Luke drove off as Jai and I walked out of the house. "You look beautiful." Jai said as he opened the car door for me. "You look good too." I answered.

The drive there was silent. We pulled up to a big house. The music was so loud you could hear it from down the street. There were people outside playing catch or just talking. We walked in together. The smell of alcohol lingered in the room. "Do you want a drink?" Jai asked. I nodded and we walked towards the kitchen.

"Hey Jai my man. Is this your girl?" A boy asked. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. "Oh no we-"

"Yeah let's get some drinks." Jai cut me off and dragged me into the kitchen.

"Here let me make you a special drink." He said as he grabbed some supplies from the cabinets.

"No alcohol. I stopped drinking last year." I stated. He nodded and continued to pour various things into the red cup. I searched the room for Liam but I didn't see him. "Done." Jai said as he handed me the drink. I gulped it down. "Wow that was really good." I said. "I know." He said with a smirk. We walked over towards the living room where everyone was talking.

"Hey I'm Chelsea." A purple haired girl said. She had a sleeve and a couple tattoos on her other arm.

"Kaylina." I stated. She shook my hand.

The room started to spin. My head was pounding. "Hey are you okay?" Chelsea asked. She grabbed ahold of me. "Yeah I'm fine." I said. "You should go lay down." Jai said. Chelsea agreed. "Okay." I tried to walk but I fell. "Here." Jai said as he helped me up the stairs. He brought me towards a room. The walls were green. I laid down on the bed.

I heard a clicking sound before Jai sat next to me. "Shh." Jai whispered as his hand glided up my thigh. "Jai stop please." I barely mumbled. I had no energy. "Shh baby." He whispered again. He left a trail of tender kisses up my thigh. I tried to close my legs but he pried them apart. "Stop!" I screamed. "He put his hand over my mouth. "Shut up." He aggressively said. My heart started to beat faster. My breaths were short and fast. "Please don't." I begged. He began to fiddle with my underwear. He hiked my dress up. "STOP!" I screamed louder.

*Flashback.*

"Richard I dont want to. Please." I smiled. He hugged me by my waist. "Come on baby I've been waiting forever now." He lead me to his bedroom door. He turned the knob. We walked in and I laid in the bed. He climbed on top of me. He left small kisses on my cheek. Pinning me down he started to unzip my pants. "No rich. Not today." I tried to push him off. "Come on." He continued to undo my pants. "Stop!" I slapped him. His face was red. "I-I'm sorry please." I begged for his forgiveness. "You little whore." He slapped me. A single tear fell from my eyes. He pinned me down. His grip was too tight.

*Flasback ends*

"Please stop!" I screamed.

I kicked his stomach. "Kaylina. Calm down." He screamed. I heard the door jiggle before it swung open. Liam stood there in a black v-neck with black jeans. "What the hell Jai." Liam said. He picked Jai up from the bed and shoved him up against the wall. "You leave her alone." Liam said. His fist clenched. His face was red.

"Liam. Please can we go home now." I muttered. He turned to face me. His red face turned pale again. He walked over towards me. "Please let's go home. " I whispered. I walked downstairs and liam followed. The music was pounding in my ears.

He held my hand as we walked outside. We started to walk towards the end of the street. "Fuck" I whispered as I took my heels off. "My feet are killing me. " I mumbled. A strong hand lifted me up from the back. Liam was carrying me bridal style. I wrapped my arms around his neck. Before I knew it, we were home. He laid me down on my bed. "Goodnight kaylina." He whispered.

"Wait, please stay with me." I whispered. I scooted over so he would have room to lay. "Please I don't want to be alone." I whispered. He took his shoes off and climbed into bed. I wrapped my arm around his chest. "Goodnight." He whispered as he kissed my forehead.

My eyes fluttered open. The warm body that kept me comfort through the night was gone. The sheets were wrinkled. He was gone.

"I have the biggest hangover." Gaby said as she stumbled into my room. The events that occurred the night before were a blur. All I remember clearly is falling asleep with Liam next to me.

I brushed away the tears that fell from my eyes. I jumped out of bed. I pulled my hair into a pony tail, and changed into some shorts and a t-shirt. I walked downstairs. Gaby was waiting for me in the kitchen. "Let's go." I stated as I walked out. She handed me an iced coffee as we drove to the mall.

Maybe shopping will take my mind off of Liam. We pulled up to the the forever 21 entrance. The same clothes and shoes were there, like they always are. My eyes wandered around the store. A brown haired boy sat on the bench with his friends. "Liam?"

I marched over towards him. "Where are you going?" Gaby asked. i ignored her question and kept walking. Liam turned to me as I got closer. "Why did you leave?" I whispered. He licked his lips. "Liam do you know this girl?" One of his friends asked. Liam turned to them and said "nah dude 1 night. I don't even know her name." My heart broke. He turned back towards me. His eyes filled with sorrow. "Oh. 1 night? Fuck you." I said as I poured my iced coffee on his head. His friends faces lit up. "I like em feisty." His curly haired friend said. "Fuck off." I spat at him as I walked away.
