Chapter 12

Kaylinas pov

I ripped the paper into pieces. I wanted it to be Liam so badly. I wiped the tears from my cheeks as I heard the doorbell ring. I picked up the pieces and threw them in the trash. I threw on a big jacket and walked down the stairs.

"Hey Jai come inside." I said. I led him to the kitchen.

"Here's some juice." I said as I handed him the cup. I turned around and heard a splashing noise.

"Oh shit." Jai whispered. I turned around and his white v-neck was drenched with juice.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to knock it out of your hand. Uhh...here take your shirt off umm ill throw it in the wash. He stripped the shirt from his body. He had a six pack. He was in better shape than I thought. The doorbell rang interrupting my thought. I ran to the door still clenching to the shirt.

"L-Liam!" I was surprised to see him.

"Hey can I come in?" He asked.

"Liam?" Jai said as he pushed the door open a little more. Liam looked at Jai. His face was red.

"What's going on here?" Liam said angrily.

"I spilled juice on him. It's fine." I reassured him.

"I'll be in the car." Jai said as he grabbed his shirt and brushed past Liam.

"Kaylina, we need to talk...." Liam said. I nodded and opened the door wider so he could come in. I led him to my bedroom.

"Kaylina....you're different. You've been avoiding me and you barely call. What are you hiding?" His eyes begged me to tell him. But I couldn't.

"Liam, I can't do this anymore." The words slipped out of my mouth. I wanted so badly to take them back,but I knew I had to say them. Liam's eyes watered.

"W-why. Pl-please." He was confused, which is understandable. His lip quivered. He took a step closer towards me. I fought the urge to tell him the real reason why I must do this.

"I-I don't like you anymore." I whispered oh so carefully, as if I was walking on a road of nails. Tip toeing so I wouldn't fall.

"I-I can change. I swear." He promised. His warm touch was now cold as his fingers glided the side of my cheek. I shook my head, trying to avoid further contact.

"Please....leave." I asked. I tried to hold back the tears. His breaths were heavy. His eyes were watery. He wiped the tears that slid down his face.

"Fine." He said with anger. His fist punched the wall beside me. My body clenched as the white pieces of the wall sprinkled to the floor. He walked out. I was alone now. I let my sobs out, its what i deserved. To forever be alone.The longer I thought about what just occurred the harder I cried. The tears didn't stop. I clenched to the side of the wall where he was standing. I slid to the floor. I lay there crying.

Liam's pov

I looked back at her fragile body. She was on the floor crying. I turned my head and continued to walk down the stairs.

"Liam? What happened?" Gaby asked as she emerged from her room. Probably because she heard me punch the wall.

"Ask kaylina." I rudely said as I shut the door behind me. My heart was broken. I saw Jai sitting on his car. I marched over towards him. He smiled and waved as I got closer.

"What the hell Jai? What's your problem. You ruined my relationship with kaylina!" I yelled as I punched him in the face. He pushed me away.

"I didn't do shit. Get away you're crazy. I dont control what she feels. obviously you werent doing shit for her." He yelled. I punched him again. His nose started to bleed onto his white shirt.

"Liam!?" Kaylina screamed from her doorway. She ran towards us. Jai was on the ground. I kicked him once in his stomach before pushing past kaylina. She grabbed my shoulder and yanked me back.

"What's wrong with you?" She asked. Her voice was uneasy. I shook my head and kept walking. She's the love of my life and I had to walk away before I loose her forever.

Kaylinas pov

I helped Jai up. I looked back over where Liam was. He was gone now.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

Jai nodded and I helped him inside.

"I am so sorry, Liam h-he's just upset." I tried to explain. I wet a small cloth and started to dab Jai's forehead. He was bleeding pretty bad.

"Yeah he just needed someone to blame it on." Jai said. I tilted his chin upwards to get a better look at the throbbing cut.

Jai cupped my chin. I stared at him, curious what he was doing. He then pulled me closer. Our lips almost touching.

"Jai, I-" before I could finished his lips crashed onto mine. He gripped my hands. I couldn't move them. I finally managed to push him off.

"Jai! What's wrong with you?" I yelled.

"I-I just thought you left Liam for me." He whispered.

"What?"

"I mean I would love your child as if it were my own. Why don't you chose me? I've been there for you."

"Jai please, you're the only friend I have left. Don't make this awkward." I whispered.

He nodded and walked out, slamming the door behind him. I rubbed my finger on my lips. I dragged my feet upstairs.

"Kaylina! Quite a scene down stairs. Dumping Liam, kissing Jai, what's next sleeping?" Richard chuckled he was sitting on my bed.

"Just leave me alone! Get out I swear to god!" I fought to hold back my tears. I just wanted to lay on my bed a cry.

"Aww now kitty cat no need to be hostile. How's my baby boy....or girl?" He smiled.

"That's none of your business." To be honest I didn't even know yet. I closed the door.

"Fine cupcake...but if you don't do what I say I'll tell everyone your secret. Murderer." He whispered before disappearing into the hall.

"Are you okay kaylina?" Gaby stuck her head in my room.

"Yeah just one two days till summer." I breathed.
