Luna's pov "What are you doing later?" I sighed softly rolling over in my bed before responding "um nothing I think. Mom has been gone all day but she said I wasnt allowed to leave which is such bullshit because Xochitli asked me to hangout! I've literally done nothing but stay in this stupid house since you dropped me off a few days ago".
Maddie looked away from her phone, I could tell she was sad and felt guilty "Mads this isn't your fault, you did all you could" she didn't respond she just stared at me for a while "I've been talking to my lawyer and there is a way I could get you back... for good" I sat up listening intently. While I loved my mom she was just way to strict and not really observant.
Even though Maddie barely gave me any rules she was still always there for me. "I could file for guardianship... but I want to run it by both you and Milo. I don't want you to think I love you any less it's just he lives here now and if I have you forever I want to make sure everyone is ok with it" I nodded "Maddie don't worry I understand! You asked me if I was ok with Milo moving in so I understand why you would run it by him too" Maddie sighed happily.
"Ok perfect I'll let mom know I'm going to pick you up tomorrow for dinner" I smiled and I got another FaceTime call from Xochitli, McKenna, and Momana. "Alright Maddie I'll see you tomorrow my friends are calling me" she laughed "you're good I gotta go pick up Millie from the airport anyways. See you tomorrow love you" "I love you too".
I hung up quickly and hopped on the joint FaceTime.
"What up hoes" they all screamed my name and I giggled "aww guys I feel so loved" "Lune why didn't you wanna hangout tonight?" I sighed sadly "my fucking mom said I wasn't allowed to leave! I don't know why she's acting like this but it's pissing me off"
My door swung open "Luna cuelga el teléfono es hora de cenar... AHORA" my mom left my door open "see! Anyways I'll try to sneak out tomorrow because I fucking miss you guys anyways bye!" Before they could even respond I hung up and left my phone upstairs.
"Luna how come your mom just got a text from Maddie saying you're going with her tomorrow?" I shrugged at my stepdad "she probably just misses me I dunno... we're used to spending every second together" my mom rolled her eyes "come eat your dinner".
