[03: NATIONAL FALLING DAY : TRUTH]
"You following me around will give people the wrong idea." Cheonsa sighed. "Why care what others think?" Sunghoon asked. "I..." "Come on." Sunghoon said, grabbing her hand and dragging her to the car.
Cheonsa yanked her hand away and tripped over a crack in the sidewalk. Sunghoon caught her immediately and looked at her, causing his breath to hitch. Cheonsas' eyes widened as they maintained eye contact. "I should've let you fall." Sunghoon said, letting go of her. Cheonsa scoffed and shoved past him. "Get in the back seat." Sunghoon said, following behind. "Don't tell me what to do." She said, getting in the backseat.
—
"Why is it mostly teenage girls?" Sunghoon sighed, walking in the building while holding Cheonsas' hand secretly. "Why are you holding my hand?" She whispered. "Just in case." Sunghoon replied, immediately letting go when Niki caught up to them.
"You two can get in line." Sunghoon said, looking at Cheonsa before going to the front. Niki jumped up and down excitedly, "I'm so excited!" "Me too." Cheonsa said softly, looking at Sunghoon. "I'm kinda nervous though." Niki said. "Don't be, if you don't get in, then it's rigged." Cheonsa said.
—
"After watching hundreds off auditions I've concluded that most of you are untalented and incapable of even being here." Sunghoon said. The whispers and giggles stopped.
"Out of 325 people only 25 were good and I had to narrow it down to 2." Sunghoon said. Cheonsa crossed her fingers, "Please don't be me please don't be-" "Nishumera Riki and Han Cheonsa." Sunghoon smiled, clapping his hands together.
"Me?" Cheonsa asked, pointing to herself. "You're Han Cheonsa right?" Sunghoon asked sarcastically. Cheonsa felt stares on her and her breath became shaky. She heard whispers and received dirty looks. Sunghoon smiled at her but Cheonsa shook her head and furrowed her eyebrows before leaving.
Sunghoon furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Niki on the other hand was jumping up and down as his friends hyped him up. Sunghoon got up and followed Cheonsa outside.
"What are you upset about?" Sunghoon asked, grabbing her hand. Cheonsa snatched her hand away, "The favoritism is obvious! Some of those people saw you pull me out of class, everyone saw you bring me here, and then you selected me?! Do you know what people will think of me?" Cheonsa asked. Sunghoon shook his head. "They'll think I.. have connections." Cheonsa said. "Why care what others think of you?" Sunghoon asked.
"Choose someone else because you know damn well I was not good enough." Cheonsa said. "Stop talking down on yourself. Yeah I need you around, but you're talented." Sunghoon said. Cheonsa scoffed. "I don't get why you're upset." Sunghoon said. "Did you not hear me explain?!" Cheonsa asked. "I think that reason is an excuse." Sunghoon said. "An excuse?" Cheonsa asked. "Did you not hear me explain?" Sunghoon mocked. "You make me sick." Cheonsa said.
"You-" Sunghoon groaned, "You're so complicated!" Cheonsa snatched her hand away but Sunghoon grabbed it again before snapping his fingers.
"Where are we?" Cheonsa asked. Sunghoon sat Cheonsa in his office chair and kept his hands on her shoulders. "Sign that." Sunghoon said, moving his head in the direction of the contract on his desk. "Why?" Cheonsa asked, "Am I selling my soul?" "It's just stating that you'll come with me to do deals no matter the time." Sunghoon said, "Put your number on there too, so I can text you."
Cheonsa sighed and began signing the contract. "Just so you know, the only way you can sell your soul is if you sign in blood." Sunghoon reassured, "So don't worry princess." "Don't call me that." Cheonsa said. "Why not?" Sunghoon asked. "I don't like it." Cheonsa replied. "Why not?" Sunghoon asked. "Don't start with me." Cheonsa said. "Why-" Cheonsa threw a pen at him. Sunghoons eyes turned red and Cheonsas eyes widened. "I would never hurt you, come on now." He laughed.
Cheonsa chuckled nervously. Sunghoon flicked the pen on her forehead and smiled. Cheonsa glared at him and pushed him off of the desk. Sunghoon got up and pushed her off of the chair, but she grabbed his hand and pulled him down with her.
Sunghoon looked at her and Cheonsa looked back. "Since you're technically on the ground and I'm not I won." Sunghoon smirked, holding her down. "Get off." Cheonsa demanded. "Or?" Sunghoon asked, raising an eyebrow. Cheonsa kneed him in the stomach causing him to roll off. "Since you're on the ground I won." She mocked. Sunghoon rolled his eyes. He put the contract in his drawer and sat in his office chair.
"Should I go back out there?" Cheonsa asked. "You don't have to." Sunghoon said, looking at her. Cheonsa nodded and went to his bookshelf. "Don't touch anything." Sunghoon said sternly. "Why?" Cheonsa asked, leaning on the shelf causing a compartment to open. Sunghoon grabbed her, "Don't touch anything In my office unless I tell you too." Cheonsa nodded hysterically.
—
"I'm so happy we got accepted!" Niki smiled. Cheonsa hummed in response. "Don't be nervous, we'll do great! I can't wait for practice this weekend." Niki said. 'I sure can.' Cheonsa thought. "What's up with you and Mr. Park?" Niki asked. "Nothing!" Cheonsa said immediately. Niki raised an eyebrow and nodded.
Cheonsa looked down at her phone and saw an unfamiliar number. "Ima go inside and take this. See you tomorrow?" She said. Niki nodded before waving goodbye.
"Hello?" Cheonsa asked. "I need to make a deal." Sunghoon said. "Can it wait until tomorrow?" Cheonsa sighed. "If we wait, I will set into flames and turn into ash." Sunghoon said, sarcastically happy. "Even better!" Cheonsa said, matching his tone. "I kill people." Sunghoon said. "I'm on my way!" Cheonsa said.
