[10: I VOW TO PROTECT YOU : TRUTH]

Sunghoon held Cheonsas hand as they walked down the sidewalk. "Sunghoon," Cheonsa started. "Hm?" Sunghoon hummed. "Are you and Yunjin like... together or-" "No." Sunghoon said, "Don't ever ask me that again." "Are you guys exes?" Cheonsa asked. "In her mind, yes. In my mind, we were never together. Because we weren't." Sunghoon said.

"I was just wondering." Cheonsa said. "Did she say something to you?" Sunghoon asked, looking at her. "She already doesn't like me to begin with." Cheonsa said. "Ignore her. What ever she tells you is out of spite. Okay?" Sunghoon said softly. Cheonsa smiled and nodded, "I got you something."

"What is it?" Sunghoon asked. Cheonsa held up a friendship bracelet and smiled. "You made this?" Sunghoon asked, with an amused yet happy expression. "You don't like it?" Cheonsa asked. "No no I like it." Sunghoon assured immediately, "It's adorable.

"Now we can match!" Cheonsa smiled, putting hers on and giving Sunghoon his. Sunghoon put on the bracelet and smiled, "You're so..." "What?" Cheonsa asked. "Cool." Sunghoon replied. Cheonsa smiled even wider. Sunghoon let out a sigh of defeat,

"Why is it so hard to find someone to make a deal with." Sunghoon mumbled, placing his hand on his forehead.

"Remember, only make deals with bad people." Cheonsa said. "That's what's making it to hard to find someone. You'll have to deal with whoever I pick." Sunghoon said. "Ruining an innocent persons life isn't-" "Cheonsa." Sunghoon said sternly. Cheonsa pressed her lips together and let go of his hand. "Don't be like that." Sunghoon sighed.

"I'm not helping you." Cheonsa said. "I need to make deals to live. You got that?" Sunghoon asked. "I know that, but only make deals with bad people. I know it's harder, but trust me, it's better than ruining an innocent's life." Cheonsa said. Sunghoon sighed and reached for Cheonsas hand but she stepped back.

Sunghoon dropped his arms in defeat. "Fine, leave." He said. "Fine." Cheonsa shrugged. "Fine." Sunghoon scoffed. Cheonsa turned around to walk away and so did Sunghoon.

He turned around after a few seconds and saw Cheonsa was gone. 'She couldn't have went that far that fast.' He thought. He turned back around and saw Cheonsa in a choke hold. The man had on a ski mask. "Always getting in some type of trouble." Sunghoon sighed, round housing the man in the jaw and grabbing Cheonsa.

Cheonsa held onto his shirt but made sure she kept an annoyed expression. "You." The man smirked, pointing at Sunghoon. "Would you like to make a deal?" Sunghoon asked nonchalantly, standing in front of Cheonsa. The man smirked, "Can you come a little closer so I can whisper it? It's quite embarrassing." Sunghoon stepped forward and and put his hands in his pocket, "What's your wish?"

The man got close to Sunghoon's ear and whispered something. Sunghoon felt a sharp pain in his chest as he heard the words, "I wish for your powers, Park Sunghoon."

The man stepped away and Sunghoon looked down to see a knife in his chest. Sunghoon chuckled nervously and grunted in pain. Cheonsa froze and her eyes widened. "This doesn't hurt." Sunghoon said breathlessly. The man kicked Sunghoon in the stomach, causing him to fall as blood escaped his mouth. The man held him down and forced all of his weight on Sunghoons chest with a wide grin.

Sunghoon held the man's leg to stop him and looked over at Cheonsa to see she was gone, nowhere in sight. Sunghoon looked around as he became dizzy. "Cheonsa..." He muttered. The man twisted the knife before pulling it out. Sunghoon gasped for air as tears threatened to escape his eyes.

The man lifted the knife but Cheonsa pushed him to the ground, causing the knife to fly out of his hand. Before he could grab it, Cheonsa pinned him down and grabbed the knife. She reached to pull his mask off and the man panicked, causing him to push her off and run.

Cheonsa dropped the knife and ran over to Sunghoon. She took off her jacket and applied pressure to his chest as her whole body shook in fear. Sunghoon looked at her and chocked back sobs. Cheonsa applied more pressure as tears escaped her eyes. She pulled out her phone and mentally cursed when she saw it was dead.

Sunghoon cupped her face and wiped her tears, "Don't cry." He said. Cheonsa slicked her hair back as she looked around for a car, a taxi, anyone.

"I'll... be fine." Sunghoon said softly, nearly blacked out. "Stay awake Sunghoon." Cheonsa said, shaking him again. She saw an ambulance driving down the road. She waved her arm out and prayed that no one was already in there.

The ambulance stopped and doctors rushed out. "Let the girl sit in the front." A doctor whispered, "She can't be back there." "Why can't I be back there?" Cheonsa asked, going to follow the doctor taking Sunghoon to the back of the truck. The driver ignored her and guided her to the front seat.

Cheonsa paced around the lobby as her hands shook. Jake and Yunjin ran in with Niki following behind them. Niki hugged Cheonsa tightly. Cheonsa held back tears as she hugged back. "What exactly happened, Cheonsa?" Jake asked softly, trying to keep her calm.

"He... I.." Cheonsas bottom lip quivered and Yunjin walked up to her. "You possibly killed Mr. Park!" She yelled. Cheonsa stared at her in disbelief. "It's your fault!" Yunjin yelled. Jake tried to keep her quiet but she kept going,

"Mr. Park would have been fine if you were able to defend yourself! If your phone didn't die. You've ruined everything since you got here!" Yunjin yelled. Cheonsa just stared at her in defeat, as tears escaped her eyes. 'It was... my fault?' She thought.

Jake sat Yunjin down and scolded her for her behavior. Niki hugged Cheonsa tighter and rocked her side to side. "We have an update." A nurse said. Cheonsa looked at the nurse, "He's okay, right?" "What do you think? He was STABBED!" Yunjin yelled. Jake sighed and kept her restrained.

"As far as we know he's unconscious and he's having trouble breathing. His heart rate is low and we don't know if he'll make it through the night. I advise everyone to visit now." The nurse said. Cheonsa let go of Niki and ran to the room.

She stood at the door and looked at Sunghoon. Her soul left her body as she stared at his pale, lifeless one. She struggled to stand as she walked over. She sat next to him and held his hand. She looked at the red-stained friendship bracelet on his wrist and sighed. "What friend am I... I was too scared to prevent this." She mumbled. "You've saved me so many times and I couldn't save you."

"I saved you. So you have to pay me back." Cheonsa looked up. "You're that girl..." Sunghoon said, "Hell, now you've got to make a deal with me so I know you don't snitch."

Sunghoon grabbed her hand, "You didn't die and you won't die anytime soon as long as I'm around. So don't worry." He said. Cheonsa wiped her face and sniffled. "We'll find that driver as soon as possible."

Cheonsa rested her head on his hand as tears streamed down her face. 'If you make it,

I vow to protect you with my life, Park Sunghoon.'
