[06: BOND BY POWER : TRUTH]
Niki ran into the room and let out a sigh of relief when he saw Cheonsa eating breakfast. "I'm so sorry I couldn't come last night I-" "It's okay." Cheonsa said. Niki hugged her tightly. "I told you to stop taking Taxis! People are crazy now and days!" He scolded. "I know, I know." Cheonsa chuckled.
"I'm so glad Sunghoon was there to help you." Niki said. "You and me both." Cheonsa chuckled, "Now go to school." Niki whined, "But-" "You need to go so I can copy your notes." Cheonsa said. "Fine." Niki sighed, getting up and ruffling her hair.

Sunghoon stared at the gauze on his arm. "How'd you manage to hide this from her?" Jake sighed, wrapping a second layer. "Magic." Sunghoon smiled. Jake just shook his head, "You could've gotten hurt way worse." "I'm a demon, I'll be fine." Sunghoon said. Jake sighed, "Yunjin was asking about you."
"Where did you say I was?" Sunghoon asked. "I told her I didn't know because I didn't. Jake replied. Sunghoon nodded. Yunjin barged into Sunghoons office, "You need to act like a true director! Every time I'm in the middle of my routine you-" Yunjin looked at his arm, "What happened?"
"Nothing." Sunghoon replied, hiding his arm behind his back. Yunjin grabbed Sunghoons arm and he hissed in pain. "Who did this?" Yunjin asked. "No one." Sunghoon said honestly. "Then what happened?" Yunjin asked. "Nothing." Sunghoon sighed. "So your arm just randomly got injured?" Yunjin asked. "It's just a little burn." Sunghoon said.
"How'd it happen?" Yunjin asked. "I burned myself while cooking." Sunghoon replied. "You need to be more careful." Yunjin said, cupping his face with one hand. Sunghoon moved her hand and got off of the counter. "Where are you going?" Yujin asked. "To make a deal." Sunghoon replied.
—
"Hey Sunghoon!" Cheonsa said, sitting up. "You feeling any better?" Sunghoon asked. Cheonsa nodded. "Whenever you need transportation from now on call me, K?" Sunghoon said. "Okay." Cheonsa replied. Sunghoon sighed, "Almost lost my damn powers." Cheonsa raised her eyebrows and pressed her lips together, "Yup." "Oh and you too." He added, letting out a small chuckle.
"Were you more worried about me or your powers?" Cheonsa asked, placing her head on her palm. "You want the honest truth?" Sunghoon asked. Cheonsa sighed, "powers right." "Bingo." Sunghoon smirked.
Cheonsas' smile faded a bit but she nodded. "I can't possibly care about an insignificant, unimportant human. I only want my powers back. Once I get them back our lives will go back to normal." Sunghoon said. Cheonsa raised a brow, "Thank god. You'll finally be out of my life for good." Sunghoon sly smirk disappeared, "Guess we both feel the same way, huh?" "Guess we do." Cheonsa shrugged.
Sunghoon got up and grabbed his jacket. "Where are you going?" Cheonsa asked. "I mean you don't want me around right?" Sunghoon asked. "You're the one who insulted me first." Cheonsa said. "No, I was just being honest." Sunghoon shrugged. "So was I." Cheonsa said. "Fine!" Sunghoon said. "Fine!" Cheonsa scoffed. Sunghoon scoffed as well and walked out.
Sunghoon stormed out while mumbling under his breath.
Cheonsa stared out the window and saw Sunghoon walking to his car. She stood by the window be sighed. 'Did he really mean it...' She thought. 'He didn't save me because he cared... he only cared because of his dumb powers.' Cheonsa sighed and hid her face in her hands.
Sunghoon looked up and saw Cheonsa immediately look away.
—
"You hurt her feelings." Jake said softly. "But that was the answer, she asked." Sunghoon said. "You should've left it at yes instead of going on about your "insignificant human" rant." Jake sighed. "Well she hurt my feelings." Sunghoon said. "Since when do you feel?" Jake asked. Sunghoon opened his mouth but no words came out.
"What did she say?" Jake asked.
"Thank god. You'll finally be out of my life for good." Sunghoons sly smirk disappeared, "Guess we both feel the same way, huh?" "Guess we do." Cheonsa shrugged.
Sunghoon sighed, "Don't worry about it." Jake nodded and pat his back.
— A few days later
Cheonsa yawned as she sat on the bleachers. Niki had agreed to meet up with her to help with her homework, but he still wasn't there. Sunghoon walked up to her and sat on the row in front of her. "What do you want?" Cheonsa scoffed. "How was your day?" Sunghoon asked. "Are you asking for me or for your powers?" Cheonsa asked, raising an eyebrow.
Sunghoon took deep breaths, "I'm asking you." "That's shocking." Cheonsa said, "it was boring just like any other school day." "Why are you here after hours then?" Sunghoon asked. "Niki agreed to help me on homework." Cheonsa replied. "Tell him never mind." Sunghoon said. "Why?" Cheonsa asked. "I'm helping you." Sunghoon said. Cheonsa shook her head, "I don't want to be around you." She said.
Sunghoon furrowed his eyebrows. "I'm sorry." He said softly. "Do you know why you're sorry?" Cheonsa asked. "Well no but-" "Then you're not really sorry." Cheonsa said. "You're acting like a petty girlfriend." Sunghoon scoffed. "Uhm no, I'm just upset." Cheonsa corrected. "Same thing." Sunghoon shrugged. "You're so insensitive!" Cheonsa said, getting up.
Sunghoon grabbed her hand and sat her back down, "I'm sorry for saying I only cared about my powers. I care about you more. Of course I care about my powers but... if you had died that day I would've been... sad." He said. Cheonsa stared at him, "I'm sorry too,
I shouldn't have said I want you out of life for good." She said. Sunghoon smiled a bit, "Friends again?" Cheonsa smiled as well, "Friends again."
Sunghoon let go of her hand and Cheonsa saw the gauze on his arm. "What happened?" She asked. "Nothing." Sunghoon replied. Cheonsa looked at the bandages on her arm then the bandages on his. "You got hurt too! Why didn't you tell me?" Cheonsa asked. "Cause it's not important." Sunghoon shrugged.
"Can't you use your powers to heal wounds? Let's try it right now." Cheonsa said. "If we use my powers while you're injured it could be straining since they're in the wrong body-" "I don't care." Cheonsa said, holding out her hand. "No. I'll be fine, you'll be fine, let it heal naturally." Sunghoon said sternly. Cheonsa sighed, "fine."
"Come on so I can help you on your homework." Sunghoon said. Cheonsa nodded and grabbed her things.
—
"I don't understand this shit either." Sunghoon said, looking at the math equation. "How do you find the answer when there's not even numbers?!" "That's what I said!" Cheonsa said, throwing her arms up in defeat. Sunghoon grabbed her hand and snapped his fingers, "boom. It's done. Let's watch a movie." "A movie?" Cheonsa asked. "You don't like movies?" Sunghoon asked.
"No no I do, I just didn't expect that." Cheonsa replied. "What movie do you wanna watch, princess? Sunghoon asked. "Don't call me that," Cheonsa said, "Let's watch trolls." "Trolls?" Sunghoon chuckled. Cheonsa nodded. "What are you a child?" Sunghoon asked. "You're never to old for trolls." Cheonsa said, sitting on the couch.
Sunghoon shook his head with a small smile and turned on the movie.
