The jog was just an excuse so that I could figure out how to answer the questions that I'm sure they'll ask.
Ever since my absence I'm sure Farley and the others were worried. I didnt really leave a note or letter about the reason of my disappearance.
I just hope they'll understand why I did what I had to do. I have sacrificed too much for other peoples happiness back then and now I'm still doing same. I have never thought of my happiness except for my family, friends, and others who need it.

My jog lasted for half an hour less than my usual jogs.
By the time I got back , it was already dinner and it looks like Evie is showing off her once in a lifetime cooking skills. It was noisy by the time I was infront of the door. I turn the knob and the noisy laughter had died out with my presence. The minute I step in , everyone eyes me before looking down at their plate.
POV EVIE
Mare steps in , and the cheerful laughter had left the room. The only thing drifting through the air was an awkward silence.
"I think I'll take my food in my room", Mare says. "Once they're done eating , you can show them their rooms".
She takes her plate and heads upstairs.
I put my glass of water on the table with so much force that everyone turned their heads to me.
"I know I shouldn't be the one to tell you all this but I need to tell you that Mare has suffered so much for the past six years ", i say almost crying. "She suffered so much that she can barely control her lightning without kiling or hurting anyone".
Before I could say anything else, Mare comes rushing down. Her hand bleeding red. " Mare!", I shout with concern. "What happend?!".
She shruggs and cleans and wraps it with a bandage, but its still bleeding given by how red the bandage is getting.
She breathes in and out. Before she injects a pain killer in her hand.
She curses under her breathe.
"Lilith sent the diagnosis just now", she says her hands figheting. I pray silently that she's okay.
"I only have few months left, before I die", she says tears running down her cheeks. She breaks down, crying silently. Hades and I quickly rush to help comfort her. She lets down her guard and shows everyone her how weak and unstable she is.
Until her brother , Shade , slowly walks to us and bends down to hug and relieve her.
POV SHADE
All I can do for now, is give my little sister some comfort. If I only I had forgiven her earlier maybe then I wouldn't feel like a jerk for accusing my sister who's been through a lot for the past few years.
