[A/N: Dedicated to @Writer0witch Thank you for suggesting the name Alex, so sorry that I misread your username.]

No one was listening to Alex, and he hated it. For a thousand years, no one had questioned his power or motives. Why did Nimona have to be so disobedient and make people think and look twice about what he did?

Chief: This is madness! Do you even hear yourself Olivia? You're letting Nimona cause doubt--!

Olivia: No, she helped me see the truth. Mira would be so disappointed if she saw how you treated her children and all of us. She may have died by the hands of the humans, but she didn't believe in manipulation and you know that. Or at least, I thought that you did. Nimona doesn't even remember who you two are and for good reason. I'll repeat myself, stand down or accept my challenge, Alex. This is your last warning.

Alex: This has blown way out of proportion!

Lucas: No, this is what we should have done centuries ago! How often do YOU go out on patrol? When have you ever not shut down a reasonable question because someone was questioning how you did things.

Alex: Absurd. (turns to his son) Nolan, please, back me up here.

Lucas: Wow, using your own son to avoid a well-deserved confrontation.

Olivia: How pathetic are you?

Alex: Olivia, there's no way that I could beat you in a fight.

Shifter 1: (from behind Olivia) That's for certain. Maybe if you hadn't have let yourself go for the last millennium, you could put up a decent fight.

Nolan: Dad, please. Did you ever think that maybe we did take things too far? I'll admit, I've done some awful things, too. The first step in fixing things is taking accountability when it's yours.

Olivia: Well said, unexpected, but well put. There may be hope for you not to turn out as fucked up as your father. I'll also admit that I should've seen what you've been doing since you and Mira got together. Isolating her, turning your son into a miniature version of you, trying to control your daughter's life when you've known that she was alive for less than ten minutes. You're just like your father in how he treated your sisters and mother.

Alex: How dare you compare me to that piece of shit!

Lucas: Then why are we looking at a mirror version of him?

Olivia: If Mira were alive, it'd be one thing. If your oldest sister, Lyra, were here...you know what would happen.

Voice: (from behind the crowd) Who said that I wasn't?

The shifters split to allow a cloaked female shifter through. She pulls off the cloak to reveal her red color scheme.

Lyra: Hello, brother. You've got some nerve pretending to be all that and not telling everyone about what you did.

Alex: (horrified) H-how...?!

Lyra: Don't be so surprised. In fact, I found someone who wants to have a word with you. (steps aside for another woman)

Alex: (eyes wide) What?!

Nolan: This is impossible!

Woman: (sternly) Alex, I think we should have a little chat...(golden eyes narrow) about what you screwed up with my kids.
