woot woot! we're on chapter seventeen already! I'm so happy! *luke's voice* i'm really excited for this one and this chapter is like super long and I don't know shit about court stuff, so I really won't go into detail for that, so enjoy *smirks*

Carter hates going to court. She has a final court date to attend and she has a court date for the whole Zavier thing. They were both on the same day, but that day all the court was doing was deciding and the court date for the Zavier problem was afterwards, so she wasn't looking forward for today.

Carter had fallen asleep for the first court time. The verdict had came with a final decision and she felt like the ground beneath her crumbled down. Carter's mum comforted her, saying that she'd be alright and that they still had one more to go.

The four went out to go get lunch and Luke joined them, being dressed up in a suit. Luke noticed how sad Carter looked. He sadly smiles and looks over at Ms. Evans. "I'm stealing your daughter again. We'll be back before the trial starts," Ms. Evans smiles and Luke stands up, Carter looking down. Luke helps Carter up and they walk out of the restaurant. He grabs her hand interlocking their fingers as they walk out of the restaurant.

They walk around, not speaking. "What's wrong?" Luke asks her.

She shakes her head. "I'm scared for today," she mumbles, looking up at Luke. Luke and her walk to his car. Luke opens the door for her and Carter gets in. Luke gets in the driver seat and they sit in there, not saying anything.

"Carter I know you're scared, but I promise you you will be fine and that son of bitch will go to jail for what he did to you okay princess," Carter weakly smiles, nodding her head. She blinks away a few tears. "Come here princess."

She climbs over and onto his lap, her head rests on his chest. Her head tucked under his chin as Luke holds her. They stay like that for a while and it felt nice for Carter, but she has to go and she doesn't want to. "I gotta go. I'll meet you in there okay," Carter says opening the door. She crawls out, Luke looking at her with a fond look. She turns to face him and bends down a bit. "By the way it's been nice. You helping me and all. I don't know what I'd do without you or your moral support, so thanks Luke."

Luke smiles and grabs her face to kiss her. Carter tries to pull back, but Luke keeps his grip on her. "Luke I'm going to be late," she mumbles against his lips.

Luke lets go of her and she groans. "You know you love me," Luke slips out.

Carter chuckles, rolling her eyes. "Yeah I do," she says. She pinches his cheek, smiling. "No seriously I gotta."

"Alright see you soon," Carter smiles and walks off in the direction they came from. Luke rubs his facing groaning a bit because did he just really say that. Was he implying that he loves her and she kind of basically said it back right? He's in deep shit, but like he loves her back as well right? Luke wants to cry because he can't have Allison and Carter meeting that... that would just be bad.

Luke gets out of his car and decides not to think about it. Friday he's got a family dinner and they want to meet Carter. Great he forgot about that too. It's not that Luke forgets things, he just forgets stuff like family dinners and the fact that he's cheating. Luke isn't one to cheat, but this is different because he hadn't planned on falling for Carter, but it's the little things she does that makes him like her and she's just got a great personality.

Danielle and Ashton walks up to the court building and he smiles. "One day we'll be getting our marriage license," Ashton squeezes her hand and Danielle lets out a laugh. "What? What's so funny?"
