Jake was shaving in the bathroom, his hair was wet and he was shirtless with only a pair of basketball shorts on, shaving cream dripping down his neck. He hadn't shaved in a few days and was in desperate need of it.

It had been a long week for Jake, and all he wanted was a break. He had to go to the studio later, but after that, he was taking the weekend off to decompress.

It had been a-... strange few days for Jake. After waking up to Andy in his arms, things had been a little awkward for Jake. He didn't dare bring it up because why the hell would he?

He knew he was being ridiculous. He and Andy fell asleep after a long day, that was it. He didn't know why he was overthinking it so much when it quite literally wasn't even a big deal at the end of the day. It wasn't like it was the first time they had done that recently.

Sure, it was because Avery fell asleep on them, and neither wanted to wake her up- but still.

Jake rinsed his razor out in the sink, and then took a damp wash cloth to remove any excess shaving cream from his face. Once he was done, he slid on his shirt, and left the bathroom.

Jake walked into the kitchen, and paused when he saw Andy standing at the sink washing dishes. His hair was pulled back into a low bun and he was wearing a skin tight, black wife-beater and black joggers.

"Need any help with the dishes?" Jake asked, making his way over to Andy. He needed things to go back to normal and for his head to shut the hell up and stop making him think and feel things.

"If you don't mind. I promised Avery I would have a tea party with her outside today." Andy smiled. Neither had mentioned the cuddling they had done the day before, and Andy was more than fine with it. He felt so embarrassed when he woke up and realized Jake was wide awake. He didn't say anything about it when he got up, making an excuse about checking on Avery as he fled the room.

Jake stood between Andy and the dishwasher, taking dishes from him when he handed them to him and placed them inside. The two worked silently, neither really knowing what to talk about.

"Meg commented in that post about the baseball game by the way." Andy finally spoke after a few beats.

"What did she say?" Jake asked, clearly shocked by the information.

"Something about wishing she could have made it and how proud she was of her." Andy said, his voice dripping with disgust. "She hasn't seen her once since you guys have lived with me, but okay, play proud auntie on Facebook to save face." He spat, his protectiveness over the young girl obvious.

Jake chuckled slightly at this, and nodded. "I think she's trying to get in good graces because Avery's birthday is coming up." He commented with an eyeroll.

"It is, isn't it." Andy hummed. "We need to do something. Were you planning a party?" He asked, turning his head to the side to look at the older man.

"Yeah, I figured invite all the kids on her team and of course Lennon. As far as adults go, the usual line up. So that would be us, Jinxx and Alice, CC and Alex, Clara's parents, my dad and sister if they can fly in, and your parents if they can make it." Jake listed off, making a mental note to figure out where to have the party.

Andy gazed at him with an unreadable look in his eyes. "You want to invite my parents?" He asked in surprise.

"Of course I do! They're family." Jake shrugged. Andy stared at him a few moments longer before nodding. "I'll text them and see. We need to figure out when to have it. What day is her birthday?"

Jake pulled out his phone and checked the calendar. "Oh, it's on a Saturday, perfect! We'll just have the party that day." Jake said.

"Okay, I'll ask them. Aren't you in that group chat for all the parents on the team? You could ask on there." Andy said, handing him a glass.
